Walking Down The Halbeath Road

Recommended Posts

The Press are reporting that we're the preferred bidder for the old Rosyth Civil Service Club in terms of a new training base.

Just seen that myself. Good news, decent sized bit of land. With a bit of investment, could be a very good facility.

Thought we were going to have a couple new faces in by now. Sure PG they would be in for the St Mirren game.

Yeah disappointing eh, more so when the manager gives you the hope. No new faces so back to a threadbare squad.

I’m sure he said he’d definitely have 1 in by today’s game.

Time the season starts boys will need a break (tongue in cheek)

Look miles off it. Bricking it every time we get into the final third.

Just lack quality. Nowhere near Premier league standard. The defence with slack passes and lost just about every header. The midfield just too weak and slow when they do get in possession.

Don't think half this team will get a regular game once we get folk in the door and folk back from injury.

They probably do though, you'd expect Comrie,Watson,Graham, Edwards, Dom, O'Hara and Todorov to be starters.

Comrie at RCB and MacDonald at RWB has been a big issue tonight. I like Comrie, but he should be at wing back. Goal came from Main just peeling off towards him and having a huge size advantage. MacDonald is just a poor player, not convinced he’s good enough defensively or with the ball.

The 3-5-2 just didn’t work at all. Thomas was so deep in the 5, which seemed odd and we had nobody providing any service to the attacking players. Edwards (perhaps unsurprisingly) been caught out defensively quite a lot too. Probably doesn’t help that the defence is all over the place. In this system, Graham should be providing much more cover for Edwards, but he’s leaving him so isolated.

Central midfield just miles off it. Can't hold on to the ball, slack passes. Not great when you are trying to pass the ball through midfield.

Can’t really put all the blame on the midfield, when the defence keep giving the ball away before it even reaches the midfielders. Going to be a very long season of playing it out from the back, if our 2 goalkeepers can’t to pass the ball and our defenders continue to be incapable of playing with the ball at their feet. Yes, the midfield needs improved, but they’ve barely had a chance to play football tonight due to the defenders’ abysmal distribution.

Early days though, just got to hope that players adapt well to the new system/style of play quickly.

Well that was a waste of £10

Thought we were really poor. Defender gives me the fear, think it’s the 5 at the back.

Central midfield lack any creativity, Pybus has no touch.

Ohara doesn’t like going in for tackles. Only thing Wighton done when he came in was out the captains armband on.

Early doors I know but a reality check after Saturday. Only using 1 sub as well, think he could’ve brought others on. Obviously PG does not fancy Todd and I think Gaspuitis as well

Sorry but there were plenty times Allan dithered with time on the ball and was closed down or he simply gave it away. Pybus was an empty shirt. Looked every bit the player QOS fans said he was. Doesn't help with McDonald and Edwards being the wide options as an outlet ball.

Loads of work to be done.

and 3 of those players were excellent on Saturday. playing against a much stronger side tonight and we didnt look as good, funny that....

buy a midfield? with what, monopoly money?

people wanted a change of manager, a change of style etc etc, well it takes time to implement never mind just signings!

It does take time to implement so getting players in is surely needed?
