Choose Fife.

Choose the moaning fitbaw fan. Matchday breakfast sprinkled with cliche flakes.

Genuinely surprised to look at the league table, following last night’s result, to see that we have the best defensive record in the league. This is despite the number of goals OFW seems to have handed opposition.

He’s a very frustrating keeper. Some of his reactionary saves are good, but he seems unable to stop anything that’s hit from outside the box (see Joe McKee’s goal at East End, Raith’s goal at East End, Gibson’s goal at the weekend and probably more that I’ve forgotten about).

Says a lot for the regular back four how we've tightened things up back there compared to the last few years.

Having a solid right back in Comrie has made a massive difference.

Replacing Devine and Ashcroft with Murray and especially Watson has been much needed.

Edwards has visibly improved and doing a decent job in Martin's absence.

If we can now get the best out of our strikers....

Will this COVID outbreak affect Tuesday's game? Presumably it would.

Not all bad as it could give some injured players more chance of getting back to fitness. Shite circumstances mind but trying to take the positives!

Depends how quickly we start turning back positive tests I'd imagine, hopefully no one is too adversely affected.

As Saturdays game went without a problem you imagine the case or cases were identified between Sunday to Tuesday night so the earliest the isolation is over would be 10th and latest would be 12th so probably depending on if anyone else tests positive in the intervening period then it could cause a problem for games beyond Friday and Tuesday. Hope not and like you say gives us time to bring people back from injury.

That said if we get past morton in the cup our schedule will be hectic to say the least.

Is it due to lack of testing that we can’t narrow it down or are there a few players and their contacts need to isolate?

Dom Thomas isolated before and I’m guessing he was training at the time so why nobody else? He was off sick then tested?

Not saying anyone or anything is wrong but unsure how it works. Some clubs have a couple of players out and still play like accies then you get st mirren calling games off. Surely both teams all train together so everyone is a contact?

It's more to do with travel to the game you only have to look at Livi getting their players to drive to the game at Hampden. And Palmerston is one of only 2 grounds that team busses are taken to and for some reason regardless of being 2m apart it seems to be everyone on the coach is deemed a close contact, or that certainly seems to be the case in the other clubs were even one case has caused huge disruption. I'm sure details about our specific problem will come out eventually but I think the governing bodies should be looking at how close contacts are identified by Public Health Scotland and advising clubs on how best to mitigate this, perhaps they all ready are but seeing as Ross is one of the Championship reps it would be unlikely that he doesn't have the club following the letter of the guidelines.

If it was due to bus travel it won't be everyone who needs to isolate but only those within a certain vicinity of the player in question. Depending on where they were sitting that could be a few players. Add that to the injuries we have and you quickly get a lack of numbers available for a matchday squad. That seems the most likely circumstances given the statement said "Since the weekend".

Could have happened any number of ways, but since they say transmission in to the bubble it sounds that the most likely circumstance is that either player's partner tested positive over the weekend or a player woke up on Sunday with symptoms and subsequently tested positive.

What's this new ticketing link up all about?

Hopefully it means we get digital tickets on our phones that we can scan at the turnstiles rather than queue up to buy a ticket to then queue up to use it.

Also a terribly edited article.

Strangely been lifted straight from the companies press release rather than the club doing something. But yes should be far easier from next season for PATG and I think it's a more scalable and resilient model the last operation was terrible in my experience.

What’s the score with your squad and the Covid positive, any idea how many have to isolate and how long for?

No, because the club said they won't comment further on the matter out of respect to the players and families, which is fair enough on the numbers part.

Fair enough on that one, hadn’t seen that was curious how long you’d be unable to play games for but obviously club haven’t answered that one yet.

Suppose it depends on when the symptoms were first reported. Ultimately it's down to NHS Fife as to how long players will need to isolate.
