Walking Down The Halbeath Road

I think Kiltie has got his confidence and fitness back, which was a big part of why he went out on loan in the first place, but I'm not sure he's necessarily a better player now than he was at 19/20 before he got the injury. Agree with the point in general, have enjoyed watching Dunfermline under Crawford and he seems to be getting a lot out of players who might have been written off elsewhere. You can probably add Ryan Dow to that list too, his career looked to be going down the pan.

Fair point on Kiltie - that talent was always there. Good to see his performance at the weekend, ripping a top tier team.

Ryan Dow is a bit of a hidden gem. Maybe out of sight, out of mind for fans of Premier clubs but he is such a good all-round player who typifies the good parts of Crawford’s tenure (doggedness, high tempo, calm in advanced areas..). That game against Hearts a few months back really showed it where Pars, IMO, looked far more comfortable in advanced areas.

Fair point, at the time though United were still a championship club. Did Paul McMullan not move the same summer?
A very good player though, was a big fan.
McMullan was the summer before, it was Aird and Clark who went to Utd in the summer of 2018. Both scoring on the opening game of the following season against Dunfermline. You couldn't write it, Jeff.

On behalf of Raith fans everywhere, can I just say “you have money to sign players but you can’t afford to switch the USH on or buy blankets”’.

Yeah, ditching the USH enabled us to sign another young prospect. All about priorities.   New signings > Playing Rovers.

What a day that was.

Season peaking on the first day.

So we're on one of the infamous Crawford runs, although we draw games now.

Good starts are quickly wiped out by the awful, flat, shitebag stuff we serve up under such runs, and this is no different.

Very frustrating and disappointing that it's still happening.

I think it’s a big difference to be taking 8 points from these runs than the 0 we were taking before. Agreed it’s not great form, but providing we can go on a winning streak that has also been a factor in Crawford’s time then those extra points will be crucial.   The run of games we have coming up is a great chance to do that.

Never looked like getting beat tonight, drawing too many games to make any real fist of a title challenge but still comfortably inside the play offs. Stevies at the wheel.

Wingers are just not doing enough and need some serious competition. Think both have been poor for months now.  Fraser Murray is OK but not sure if he's a winger.

Would like another option up front too. Some decent midfield options and the defence has looked  a bit stonger last couple games.

Think the management are doing a good job overall. They are developing players and not scared to change things in a game. Just a work in progress at the moment.

The wingers aren't getting enough of the ball for me.

Another 'option' up front will make absolutely zero difference if we continue to play the way we are, as they'd also struggle with the lack of service and chances. McCann has shown that over the last two games (although he was unlucky with his one chance last night).

I'm struggling to see what our style of play is at the moment.

Also, get Thomas off of corners now. Someone else should be taking them now.
