Sir David Gray apparently coming to the Pars on loan.

Did you hear this from other forums or a decent source?

There was a rumour started on .Net last night and that seems to have triggered a post on the Hibs forum.

I don't think there will be much to this. Hibbies are saying that they need right back cover and would need a replacement if he leaves,  Pars already have a decent young right back. It's not a signing that seems to make sense. I think he would be pretty expensive too and if we are going to splash the cash, it won't be on a right back.

Go on then, do continue while we play wee team bingo...

1922

Even the bingo card shouts "wee".

Had to Google 'Raith Rovers 1922' Genuinely never heard another Rovers fan mention 1922.

'Vaughan hat-trick' would have been a better shout for yer bingo card.

Yep pretty much. Saw it was also posted on your main forum.

When Nisbet scores against Rangers and/or Celtic in Hibs' next couple of games, that will surely be enough to seal the Scotland call up. With the additional money that brings it may mean an extra hoodie or two for Stevie. Isn't that nice?

Number of people claiming that McInroy has signed and that Fraser Murray signed weeks ago.  With our first friendly against Stenhousemuir tomorrow, I wonder if we may get an announcement today.

It was mentioned on another thread that loan deals from Premiership teams aren't being announced at the moment so that any players can immediately be used by said Premiership team if required due to COVID making other players unavailable, with the loan deals only being made official at the last moment.

Not sure if that's true but would make some sense. Can players of other teams play as a trialist in friendlies?

You can play trialists in friendlies even if their with another club, most recently I remember ross doohan playing for ross county against Celtic before his loan deal went through.

As for your theory,  there’s been a few loan deals announced elsewhere(and given we’re talking about Murray that includes hibs youngsters) so it’s clearly not a policy that’s being applied to every player.

However even without COVID it isn’t uncommon for clubs to keep ahold of fringe players until late in a transfer window before letting the loan go through, given the premiership clubs are in action and we aren’t unless we desperately push for the loan to be signed off(and probably pay for the privilege) then it doesn’t benefit either the player or the parent club to not be available to play for the parent club,  and if you have a fairly high level of confidence the deal will go through anyway then the chance they’ll get a few minutes of competitive football will probably benefit the club bringing them in as well.

Another thing to consider is that given our very limited media content compared to most pre-seasons is that we have just held off on the announcement front. Possibly given season tickets are being pushed again the club might want to announce some signings in the next few days.

Or were not actually signing the players suggested.

Fair bit of hubris on here!!

What are the odds on Dunfermline winning the Championship?

Worth a gamble??

Must fancy themselves against the likes of Hertz with all of their (DAFC) German connections now.

McBookie are offering 9/2 for Dunfermline Winning without Hearts. They're giving 1/5 odds for first 3,  so does that mean 2nd, 3rd and 4th, or just top 3? Either way it's not a bad bet.
