Walking Down The Halbeath Road

Was just thinking that we don't score many late goals. I can't recall a time this season where we've got one after about the 75th minute.

Think we might have scored 2 - Hippolyte away to Falkirk in October, Craigen at home to Morton. These were both to seal wins though, rather than earn us points. We’ve definitely dropped points in the last 15 minutes of games.

Saturday and the games against QoS and Morton are the ones that spring to mind this season.

Which ties in with the lack of subs the manager makes. He does come across as very stubborn in that area.

Anyway, I've had a look on the official site and we've only scored 3 goals after 70 minutes in the league this season; Hippolyte in the 90th minute at the Falkirk Stadium, Craigen against Morton at East End (85 minutes) and a 73rd minute own goal consolation at Ross County.

Strangely we seem to score quite a few between the 66th and 70th minutes. L Longridge at Tannadice (67th min), Ryan at Cappielow (68th min), Connolly at East End (69th min), J Longridge at Alloa (69th min) and Vincent at Falkirk (67th min).

We seem to lose quite a few after 80 minutes. Aird at Tannadice (89th min), Moff at Somerset (81st min), Oakley at East End (83rd min), Tiffoney at Cappielow (82nd min), Todd at East End (84th min) and Trouten at East End (93rd min). Aird's was a consolation, Moff's and Oakley's were to extend leads but the others were either winners or equalisers.

We've only scored 3 times in the first half in league games we've won this season (Morton and Falkirk twice), although we've only won 6 games out of 20 in the league. In fact we've only scored in the first half in 6 games in the league all season. 30% of games.

That's just from a quick check on the official website. An actual analyst could go much deeper but it seems we have a pretty obvious patterns in many games. Stop us scoring in the first half and focus more on defence between the 60th and 70th minute and you have a great chance of winning.

Haven't been on there in months and months but was trying to get a barometer of the average fan.
The most distressing discovery was that Hippolyte is signed up for next season [emoji20][emoji20][emoji20]
Aye he's on a 2 year deal ffs.

It's a genuinely shocking place.

Much of the nonsense written is astounding stuff. It's like they've somehow gathered the most hysterical, deranged, frothing and frighteningly mental fans in the one place and have given them all a cliche thesaurus.

Best to give it a miss.

Also that's disappointing news about Hippoltye.

pish  - Depending on what his wage is I would hope that next season he is consigned to the bench by the free scoring Smith/ Ryan / A.N.Other.

Why next season? Could happen starting at the weekend. Thinking positive although it won't be Ryan obviously
