Guest Blonde Saint
I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest last night. Not as good as the first film but still a quality film. Can't wait for the third one to come out next year. 8/10.

The Machinist starring Christian Bale, Sky Movies 7 at 9pm tonight. edit...or Sky movies 1 in about 30 seconds One of the best films I've seen in ages. Absolutely cracking. If you haven't seen this , you must definitely try to. A bit of Fight Club, a bit of Memento, sometimes even a bit Twin Peaks.. Great stuff.

SaintSam
Final Destination 3 - thought most of the acting was average at best, especially from the main character, some of it was so staged that I winced at the cringeworthy-ness of her acting rather than lending myself to the emotion she was trying to portray. Some of the death scenes were brutal and quite graphic, particularly disturbing were the sunbed deaths and the nail gun shots right through the head. Graphic enough to warrant an 18 rating although the gaps between such bloody scenes probably lead it to becoming more of a 15 I guess. Watchable but nothing great, certainly not as good as the first or second. The first one was great but I felt they laboured the idea with the second and just killed the suspense with the third. 5/10

Glad you both enjoyed it, it is an excellent movie, well paced, creepy and one of those endings where you go "f**k..of course"For those who HAVE seen it, have a look at the Trivia section for the movie on IMDB to see what Bale went through in preparation for the movie...absolutely incredible considering he made Batman in the same year

Loki
Went to see Cars on Saturday night. F'cking fantastic. A cartoon about a race car, what more can you ask Top class stuff from Pixar once again. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I just about wet myself when Lighning McQueen said he wanted to win the Piston Cup and his redneck truch said "He did what?" Alot better effort than the Incredibles.
Rugster
I watched Flight 93 this evening, the story of the flight brought down by the passengers on September 11th. It was very good - not at all sensationalist. Rather than focus on the battering and slashing, it focussed on the people phoning their families and saying goodbye. Very moving.
Guest Spanky Rodriguez
The Business. Absolute drivel. I fucking well hate these shit "gangster" films full of gay cockneys so god knows why I keep watching them. Acting at it's worst with a plot so thin you could piss through it -12/10
