Half A Person
My son and I got a few of DVDs to watch yesterday... Sky High- 7/10 Cheesy Disney film about a super-hero High School. It's between Harry Potter Mean Girls and High School Musical and is surprisingly decent. Doesn't take itself too seriously and there's not the usual preachyness which blights a lot of kids' films. Scooby-Doo -3/10 Scooby-don't. Appalling. The Iron Giant 9/10 One of the best animated movies I've ever seen. Clever and funny and moving. It's not one of those films that 'work on two levels' i.e. a few double entendres thrown in to the script; it's just a movie that both adults and kids will enjoy because it's so well written and produced. Tremendous! Edited October 18, 2008 by Half A Person
Seanaldinho
Ratatouille 8/10 Funny and very well done, really enjoyed it. Record 8.5/10 Bloody hell that film was scary! If I wasn't watching it with 4 pals I doubt I would have made it all the way through.

Satans_Husband
The Living Dead At Manchester Morgue 6.5/10 is all I can say about this zombie flick! You could also have said that it features every accent in the British Isles. It's a crazy film. Did it not set the trend for breasts being ripped off by zombies?

mungo
Taken Liam Neeson kills lots of people as he tracks down his kidnapped daughter. Overall - an Ok movie but a bit repetitive and predictable. 5/10
SaltyTON
Watched Saw IV (2007) again, can't really say much as it was a shit copy and couldn't see a bloody thing. What I did see it was still bloody confusing as there was so much to-ing and fro-ing with the time line, and I'm not that good with facial recognition. Take a mark off (from the 9/10 I gave it when I saw it at the cinema) as the ending was a bit crappy. 8/10
Gaz
Burn After Reading by the Coens. Very enjoyable, if a little confusing at times I'll give it a 7/10.

Dunning1874
Watched two films tonight, the first was Paths of Glory which gets 10/10 from me. About French soldiers in the First World War on the frontline with Germany. That doesn't really say much about it at all but it really is a great film, Kirk Douglas is excellent. The second was Glory, about the first regiment of black soldiers who were allowed to fight in the American Civil War. A good watch and although I thought the ending was appropriate, it felt a wee bit rushed. 8/10.

Gall09
Pusher - 6.5/10 Danish film about a drug dealer who, after throwing dope in a lake after a police raid, has 2 days to get his boss his £230,000. Quite enjoyed the film and actually felt for the main character who, despite not being the nicest human being, is somehow quite likeable. Watching him get more and more desperate in the ways he tries to get the money and figuring out who he can trust is really intense. Despite the above points, it takes a little while to get to the main premise and drags a little at certain points.

DomDom
The Illusionist ( 2006 ) Much like the other period movie about magicians, this one got a wee bit silly towards the climax, but it's still a really good movie. It's all a bit slow, but I don't think it would have worked as well if it was fast moving stuff, so that can be forgiven. 8/10
Mel Hutchwright
Burn After Reading Enjoyable whimsy. Brad Pitt's hair alone is worth the admission fee.
