KnightswoodBear
Zombieland: Double Tap Only went to see it as it was the only thing on at a time that suited last night. Perfectly serviceable sequel. Funny enough and Woody Harrelson is, as usual, the best thing in it. There's a great blink and you'll miss it Wesley Snipes joke too. 6/10
Mr Sugden
The Peanut Butter Falcon Young Downs Syndrome man escapes the old folks home he's being 'cared' at to pursue his dream of becoming a wrestler. Meets a down on his luck Shia LeBeouf who's on the run from some dodgy Louisiana fishermen. Great road (water) movie which raises the spirits. 9/10

I thought it was good up until the actual wrestling match, which was nonsense. Nice wee cameo from Jake Roberts and Mick Foley though.
Comrie
Miss Bala I thought this was the original I've been meaning to see for a while but it turned out to be a very bland Hollywood remake that took all the edge from what I've heard about the oriignal to make it PG-13. Gina Rodriguez is a wid, mind. 4/10 Venus A decent concept, but surely it can't be hard to find a transgender actor to play a transgender character in a film? Tries too hard to be deep and insightful. 3/10

Shandon Par
Doctor Sleep Really enjoyed this. I’d have liked an 18 version but keeping it 15 makes more money. A real treat for The Shining fans with the amount of nods to it crammed in and it weaves the two books and original film together very well. So often the final act lets films down but it was properly delicious here. A non-Shining fan may take less from it but I loved it. 8.5/10

(Also adding in the factor that King didn’t like Kubrick’s version). A lot of different people to keep happy there. Props to the director. Rose the Hat was a really good baddie.
YER SISTERS YER MAW
The Lighthouse;Based on true events. Two guys are stationed in a lighthouse on a remote island during the 1890's and end up loosing their marbles. I actually found it quite intriguing and solid performances from Dafoe and Pattinson. 7.5/10

There appears to be two different movie's called "The Lighthouse" based on the same true events. This was the one I watched last night and was released last year. Funny, when I started watching it last night I was expecting it to be in black and white too. I really should have twigged. [emoji3064][emoji2359] This one is worth a watch too though.
Doctor
The thing that struck me with La La Land is that the opening song wasn't catchy and that was enough to put me off the film.
