Silverton End
St. Vincent (2014) Bill Murray in usual droll form, as a seemingly nasty old bum, with the usual vices - booze, gambling, sex (with Naomi Watts) but there's a lot more to him though as the story unfolds. Enjoyed it 7/10

buchan30
Thoughts? Was alright actually (barring the shit attempts at a german accent) good action movie with the usual love interest. Was a bit predictable that the cop was go pull a gun on someone, just wasn’t sure who it would be.

LeeVanTeeth
First Reformed A real bundle of fun in the run up to Christmas this. Seriously it is worth watching and Ethan Hawke and Amanda Seyfried are excellent in it. And a very ambiguous ending, which I won't say anything about. 9/10
accies1874
I watched it the other day. It'll definitely be in my top 10. Hawke is terrific, it's a 'thinker' (cringe), it pulls no punches without being misery porn, it's one of the most atmospheric films I've seen this year, and it genuinely had me hooked from the first to last frame.

I wasn't sure about it when I first came out of the cinema but it's stayed with me and I'm remembering it much more fondly than I initially thought I would.
Ira Gaines
Aye, it's an amazing bit of work. Mary Poppins Returns The good outweighs the bad here. Emily Blunt is fucking wonderful, there's a couple of amazing songs to watch, and the choreography in one of them in particular is jawdropping. It's a tad long and I wasn't into much of the plot involving the older siblings, but I feel that wasn't really the point. It was a lot of fun. 7/10
Mark Connolly
The Spongebob Squarepants Movie. It's brilliant, and I'll fight anyone who disagrees.

jimmy boo
Watched that First Reformed earlier. Bloody hell it was bleak and pointless. I can appreciate the quality of the acting but couldn't give a toss about any of the characters. Not for me so 3/10.
The Naitch
Mary Poppins Returns - 7/10 Passable sequel to the Disney classic. Emily Blunt was charming enough but something didn't click in her performance for me. Did enjoy some of the routines, though.
Silverton End
Scrooge (1951) Alastair Sim, George Cole etc. Brilliant film. 9/10
Ira Gaines
February Watched this on Netflix. Quite a decent wee horror which switches between the two plots really well, with one of them in particular really turning up the tension in the final third, while the other which seemed more promising in the early going, kinda fizzles away. Still good for the most part though. 7/10
