Scotty Tunbridge
The Hustle ..... 1/10Utter shite. 90 mins lost from my life.Didn’t expect much but wow that was terrible. Absolutely mental anyone has ever laughed at/enjoyed the likes of Rebel Wilson or Melissa McCarthy’s “my vaagiiina” comedy. 1:/10
Scotty Tunbridge
Detective Pikachu. 5.5/10. Pretty watchable but I wouldn’t rush to go and see it. A lot of fan service and some funny one liners from Pikachu who Reynolds is excellent as. The plot Falls on its arse a bit towards the end but an enjoyable hour and a half all in.

Vince Vaughan as an ex-boxer locked up for running drugs. Thanks for this, it keeps getting added to 'My List' but not by me and it bugs the life out of me having to remove it purely because I think Vaughan is a terrible actor. Will give it a watch.

(122-126) Phase IV 3/10 My mate’s favourite film and I’ve promised him for months I would take the time to watch it. I was confused by the plot. I was underwhelmed by the cinematography. It was, not to be too harsh, total shit. What was that guy with the swollen hand even thinking? What was the guy who looks like Rob Brydon even doing there? Why was the girl so beautiful? Didn’t get it. (Netflix) Phase IV was a good movie for its time, building a real sense of fear. It just hasn’t aged well. Still 3rd in Ant related movies behind Ant Man and Wasp and the incomparable Them!
Pulp
Went to see John wick 3 yesterday. Bloody hell it was good. Finally Keanu Reeves has a trilogy to be proud of.
Ranaldo Bairn
LIFE On Netflix. Real couple of A list stars in this, but nobody really gets to show their acting chops much. Enjoyed it well enough though. It's about a sample of alien life on a space ship. You can probably guess how it goes. Clue: 1979 movie called A***n.
D.A.F.C
Army of Darkness. Bruce Campbell makes this film along with the slapstick fighting. Preferred it to the other evil dead films.
YER SISTERS YER MAW
The Big Lebowski With this film being regarded as a Coen Bros classic, I was expecting a lot more from it tbh. I found the plot to be a bit over the top and not as funny as I'd hoped. John Goodman's overacting really annoyed me too. 5/10
LeeVanTeeth
Fighting with My Family. Standard British feelgood shite, i.e utterly predictable cliche ridden bollocks . An extra mark for Lena Headey being involved albeit she wasn't looking anywhere near her best. 3/10

What an utter pile of shite. 0/10. I disagree! I'm a child of the Pokemania generation and loved it - lots of wee nods to the games.*Having said that, I can totally see why anyone with no interest in Pokemon would fucking hate it

I first and last saw this illicitly in hospital about 25 years ago and think it was the first time I saw sex happening in anything. A combination of that sex pest types guffawing at the mention of it put me off this a a “film for mucky gets”. But actually this is good. There’s an even better film that could have been edited out of this, if you got rid of a couple of very 80s musical choices and slightly injudicious moments (like I don’t think there’s any need for Sue to refer to her Pakistani boyfriend as a ‘Paki’ beyond the initial faux pas) and made more use of the amazing walking shots (the opening few minutes and the middle bit where Bob’s wife confronts Sue & Rita is just Best of Film territory) and moor-top moments then this would be a total Britfilm classic. It’s also really well-written and it’s a total travesty that Andrea Dunbar died so young. (DVD) Didn't like it at the time, saw it again recently and it's just sleazy. Nicky Campbell on his day off.
Comrie
Highlights over the last couple of days: Batman Ninja Completely and utterly bonkers animation about Gorilla Grodd sending Batman and some allies back to feudal Japan where his enemies have taken the place of notable regional warlords. Joker as Nobunaga Oda was a highlight. The animation is mostly cheap CGI guff but there's a segment with Joker/Harley/Red Hood towards the end that's drawn in a tradiotional Japanese watercolour style that's absolutely incredible and I would be frothing at the mouth over this if the whole film was like this. 6/10 Tremors Find me a better 90's B-movie. I dare you. 9/10 The Hallow Interesting take on zombification horror with the antagonist being a combination of a fungus and Irish folk legends. Feels like something that Spanish language Del Toro would have done in terms of aesthetic and atmosphere. However, it suffers from having two pretty awful leads who you generally have no sympathy for. Still worth a watch. 7/10
