Any member from SMWS can you tell me how many bottles of 53.332 were released today and how long before they were sold out?

Not that I was going to spend that money but I'd just like to know. A little taste of it would be nice.

444 I don't know how quickly it sold out as I was never in the market for it

Still 30 odd left of the Mortlach 32 yo but I couldn't ever justify the money

In these straightened times they need to flog a bit of the family silver. Must be handy to be able to sell 300k worth of stock in a few minutes when times get tough.

These bottles are out of my price range as well. I doubt they would have sold them all at once though. I bought a bottle of theirs from Ardmore a few months back that I thought I'd missed out on but they released it gradually. 50 or so bottles very now and then.

Back in my price range I do fancy the 41.127

Got this for 40 quid a few months ago off amazon but only just sampling it tonight.

If your in to Cheapish sherry bombing with a decent enough abv (glen farclas 105 etc)  its very decent for that price point but its now crept up towards 50 quid now. Can tell its a quite young but not rough.

Believe its 8-10 yo range from what I was told at the whisky festival a few years back. Agree its a decent bottle.

Sounds amazing. Nice whisky is made to be drunk, dont understand these folk scared to get wired in to the good stuff.

I don’t mind getting wired into the good stuff but I hate finishing them.

I’ve been gifted a £100 bottle to choose. Considering possibly Balvenie Doublewood 17, Glengoyne 18 or something completely different.

Any recommendations?

i'm wanting to keep an eye on this by V.Aye.R

Any £100 bottle? In that case I'd aim higher than either of those two. They're certainly good if you choose them though.

Some suggestions:

Glendronach 18 - you'll never go wrong here

https://www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/glendronach/the-glendronach-18-year-old-allardice-whisky/

Glenfarclas 21 - one of my old favourites, not as good value for money as it used to be but still a belter

https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/p/2068/glenfarclas-21-year-old

Compass Box: Spice Tree Extravaganza - a blend but a premium one, really rich and fruity

https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/p/34644/compass-box-spice-tree-extravaganza

Talisker 18 - bit smoky but still rich and tasty

https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/p/4840/talisker-18-year-old

In having a quick look there a lot of whisky I was going to recommend is so expensive now. The last couple of years have not been good for that.

This is a wonderful thing to happen to any man. My £100 bottle of choice would be the Bunnahabhain 18yo each and every time. Majestic stuff.

I’ve got a Glendronach 18 on the shelf currently (always have a Glendronach of some description on the shelf, king of whisky), and finished a Glenfarclas 21 quite recently, which while nice it didn’t live up to expectations of a 21 for me.

Will have a look at the compass box one as not seen that before.

That was going to be my first recommendation but you're not getting it for £100 now.
