banana
It's amazing the difference between Gauld and Feruz looking at both threads. One is obviously trying to work hard to get into the first team. The other is clearly a fanny of the highest order. Reported for Islamophobia.

Tulloch Gorum
Sad to see the waste of what looked like a lot of potential. Every update on this thread has just been more confirmation that he's not going to make it.
bobbykdy
“It’s not about your background, it’s the way you perform in training and off the field which gives you a place in the team.” Quote from the manager implies that he came in expecting to walk into the first team because he's on the books at Chelsea. Sad if true. Different player and club, same situation and fanny of a manager. Co incidence? http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/birmingham-city-lee-clark-tells-6494369

Not sure how much the talk of Feruz being a big-time charlie is based on fact, or whether people are drawing unfair conclusions. It's not like anyone he works with has flat-out stated that the guy's a lazy todger. Have they?
placidcasual
It's hard to understand why Chelsea gave him a long-term deal a year ago.
Pete's Frontier
Very small at 5'4" and not likely to grow any now, but better players than him have failed to make the grade.
mizfit
I remember getting really excited by him too. At this rate he'll be playing for East Kilbride FC writing a column claiming Chelsea screwed him over.

More likely he'll be getting the shit kicked out for him after games for arguing with fans and asking if the "know who I am"

Co incidence? http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/birmingham-city-lee-clark-tells-6494369 To be fair, he does go on to describe how his coaching and words helped the penny drop for Ravel Morrison and as we all know, that worked out spectacularly well.

paul-r-cfc
Supposedly off to Bolton on emergency loan. Surely there's a limit to how many teams he can be loaned to in a season?! Can you not only play for two teams in one season? Was a transfer not cancelled in January because the boy played an under 20s match for Newcastle? Seen it happen a few times too

Was a transfer not cancelled in January because the boy played an under 20s match for Newcastle? Seen it happen a few times too I was thinking the same but it looks like he might be able to play for Bolton. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/morton/307724-fifa-rules-scupper-greenock-morton-move-for-midfielder-michael-tidser/ Should Morton cancel his registration and the request for an International Transfer Certificate withdrawn, he could play for a third English club this season. Registration rules south of the border do not forbid players from playing for more than two clubs across a season when one or more of the transfers have been temporary loan deals.

For some reason they get off with it. Edited March 9, 2015 by SpoonTon
Gordopolis
Finally we'll get to see the best of him. My money's on him gunning down Gibraltar later this month with a hat trick then finishing this season for Bolton with 40 goals.

Broken Algorithms
Amusing to see Strachan's comments on the Jack Harper situation when I was reading the Courier this morning: “I’m not involved in that at all. I let the other guys get on with it. I’ve no idea if it’s physical or whatever. Has anyone seen him play? I’ve seen a few people at Chelsea who never get a game anywhere. They go on loan somewhere and disappear into no man’s land.”

BFTD
Are you saying this doesn't happen? It seems quite pertinent in this case. Also, we've got a player on a five year contract at Real Madrid and the Scotland manager knows nothing about him, other than his name? That's pretty shocking.
