Captain_Sensible Posted December 21, 2012 Share Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) Attendances are slightly down but I suspect that is down to the recession and the extended run in Europe rather than 'missing'' the Orcs. However you are free to speculate and form your own opinion as to the reason. Financially though we are not missing them as much as everyone would like to imagine. I speculate the the attendances are down at Parkhead entirely due to Rangers being missing. I speculate that if Rangers had died completely that Celtic's gates would have dived even more and would have dwindled very quickly. The rest of Scottish football would have flourished. Scottish football had the opportunity to rid this country of the Old Firm and sectarianism forever. In a couple of years time the Old Firm will be back worse than ever.
