Possibly mentioned before, but how dumb is this attitude?

As the clubs split the gate, surely this hurts Sevco Rangers just as much as Dundee United.

I assume United will liaise with Ibrox about how much the away allocation should be.

United should simply say - 6,000 for you 6.000 for us. Whatever you sell you keep. fifty fifty split principle maintained. Any boycott directly affects Sevco Rangers

I'm sure a few neutrals would be willing to fill any vacant home support seats - if only to screw up any boycott blackmail attempt.

To be fair, they've been doing a fair job of boycotting ibrox for cup games so far...

It'll also be interesting to see if Chuckie has anything to say on the matter - what with him having nothing to do with the original rangers, and all..

Gate is split 50/50 regardless of how many tickets utd allocate or how many Rangers supporters attend

Indeed they are. I am fully aware of that.

But are the various fan factions threatening boycotts aware of it - and the fact that they would be denying Sevco Rangers revenue?

It could be a landmark game. The last ever cup match played by a club called 'Rangers'. Be a shame to miss it,eh?

(unprovoked suggestion that Charlie Green's financial jiggery-pokery will see the current pseudo club follow (follow) their predecessors into oblivion - no 'facts' or 'proof' of course, before you do the demand links and official sources etc

They seem to be fully aware

I was reading a few UTD forums last night and they seem to be suggesting that UTD should allocate just the Fairplay stand (1600 seats) to Rangers and that they could easily fill the rest of the ground (we are of course still a big draw ;) ) This of course would mean no real loss of revenue for either team despite any boycott

I am sure that many Rangers fans will probably ignore the Boycott and attend anyway, the boycott does just seem to be a suggestion without any club backing and Rangers also have a large number of supporters in the Dundee area

That's the way, Tedi. Traynor's going to have competition for the spindoctor PR job, I can see....

Capacity crowd - "It's all about the rangers"

Less than capacity - "That's yous Dundee Hibernian bassas boycotted. WWTP!" laugh.gif

BBC again recognise we are the same club

http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/20581618

Rangers face the side who knocked them out of last season's tournament days before the Glasgow club went into administration.

It is the first time Rangers will have faced top-flight opposition in this tournament since becoming a Third Division club.

They defeated Motherwell in the Scottish Communities League Cup in their first meeting with SPL opposition this season before losing to Caley Thistle.

Have you managed to find that list of club members yet?

Good idea, but slightly flawed:someone has to pay the overheads - police, stewards, floodlights, etc etc.

A straight 50/50 would instantly give the away team 100% of the income, but how do you then subtract (from them) a share of the overheads?

With Rangers' track record, they'd maybe just be away with the money, and not pay their overheads share. Particularly if you've just handed over 6,000 tickets (or whatever amount) and let them get on with their own ticket sales. I think most clubs would do a runner and try to avoid paying a share of the overheads if they could........

Of course, we already knew the truth. As our club regroups on its road back to our rightful place lording it over all beneath us in Scotland - it was never in any serious doubt. Media outlets the world over have arrived at Ibrox to tell the tale of our remarkable resilience and the wonderful dedication of our support. From America, Holland, France, Japan and more they have come - the message is out there for all to see.

Meanwhile, in a tiny corner of northern Europe - the ever-dwindling band of naysayers have never been more of an irrelevance (comprising as they do of some bitter plastics and a tiny handful of tawdry diddies) or more bitter about their failure to kill our greatest of clubs.

They placed all their faith in the internet warriors - the IRA writer, the runaway, the disgraced bungler and more - who, in turn, lied to them. In despair, and no sooner had the BTC result damned their heroes, a new breed of Emperors were found - step forward the likes of Suckit, Fuckit and Duckit - to continue the pretence.

Anyone feeling even remotely sorry for the Rangers read this ^^^^^ and you'll soon remember why the sooner they are dead the better.

Remember last season whe Rangers put a bid worth £2m for David Goodwillie (and Grant Holt) despite knowing full well they didn't have the money.....

And yet they feel the need to boycott (which they have been saying every away game at Dundee united) over a matter that happend 3 years ago

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

It's not as bad as that tear stain rant from the RFFF refusing to pay Dundee United money that Rangers owed them at the time

A year ago would anyone have predicted that any of this could have happened?

Rangers liquidated.

Zombie Rangers in the 3rd Division.

A summer of total farce from the SFA and SPL.

Not one person in the SFA or SPL losing their job as a result of the chaos.

Still no clarity on the likely structure for Scottish Football.

Still no clarity on the actual (multi-millions?) level of investment in Zombie Rangers.

Still no decision on whether Rangers broke the rules on dual contracts to players (despite prima facie evidence being available months ago).

Still no clarity on the share issue for Zombie Rangers.

Still no certainty that Ticketus were ever out of the equation.

Still no punishment for the grossly negligent actions of D&P.

A real possibility that Zombie Rangers may not have the cash to make it to the end of the season.

4,000 pages of discussion of all of this and more on P&B.

Serious question. Will we be here in a year's time with the page count up to 8,000 and none of this resolved?

No orc fan has ever been able to provide me with a single promise that chuckie cheese has made, since starting his new club, that he has kept. I know he is a thouroghly discredited liar......but surely he has kept at least one promise he has made.

He doesn't care about the club either, all he's going to do is manipulate the Sevco fans and bring in more fantasy goals for the club so the orcs can pile up Chuckles pockets.

Burma,

He promised that Zombie Rangers would not join the SPL on his watch. So far so good...

I think that might be about it though.

Yeah he did. But then he said he would put it "to a vote". Reversed his position completely in the same interview. All very Mitt Romney
