Newbornbairn
I will go with 'C'.... It is just the Scottish clubs that were meant to be squared away plus fines. But that is way more than a 1/2 million. Well according to the offishul Duff & Phelps creditor's report, Hearts alone were owed £800,000
loonapick
Well according to the offishul Duff & Phelps creditor's report, Hearts alone were owed £800,000 Wasn't there some money withheld by someone (prize money?) which when added to the £500K MAY be enough to have paid off the outstanding debt? Sorry to be so vague, but I can't be a**ed going back over the details, and could be wrong.
cyderspaceman
'after all this time?' 10 weeks? They can unwind transactions within the last 5 years. 10 weeks is a long time in football terms. I doubt very much if this deal will be 'unwound'. If it were to be, would that be a good or a bad thing? Depends what the alternatives are. Proper liquidation, à la Clinton Cards, would be fair. Anyway, the longer it drags on, the worse for football in general.
cyderspaceman
As has already been said, this thread has really slowed down. Mostly due to lack of revelations. Does anyone know what has become of Bumbling Bomber? Has he pished that pensioner's money up the wall yet?
Mark Connolly
As has already been said, this thread has really slowed down. Mostly due to lack of revelations. Does anyone know what has become of Bumbling Bomber? Has he pished that pensioner's money up the wall yet? Do you always write in non-rhyming verse, or is your formatting f*cked? Anyway, Charles Green is having a moan about people phoning in to Traynor and saying "Rangers" shouldn't buy players when they haven't paid their debts. So he paid £500k. Yes Chuck, that's ok, just forget about the other £100m. And the tealadies that Ally says might have to be laid off. As for the scandal of them wearing their training tops because their away kit wasn't ready and their 3rd kit clashed, 2 things spring to mind. 1) Is it a requirement for all SFL3 teams to have a 3rd kit? and 2) Isn't there some irony in them not getting their kits in time while creditors still await payment on bills submitted months ago?

Does anyone know what has become of Bumbling Bomber? Has he pished that pensioner's money up the wall yet? Slowed maybe, but far from stopped...... Rangers Tax-Case@rangerstaxcase Neil McCann- a word-smith? He might not have signed a second contract (for EBT) but he DID have one. Naughty to mislead like that Rangers Tax-Case @rangerstaxcase Neil McCann- that side-letter RFC sent you on 13 July 2001? That is a 2nd contract.
WBR
Was it really training kit - with Iron Brew logos and numbers on? Bit pissed off that Clyde have to have all manner of garish away kits to avoid having the same colours as the home kit but the newbees don't have the same restriction. Who authorised their kits?
budmiester1
Ye couldnae make this up if ye tried...................and the CevcoMedia fanboys ain't gonna like the Sir Craigie connection! Even tho it's the Sun, ye've just gotta pray this story is true: "Green hires £11.5m debt tycoon as business guru" http://www.thesun.co...iness-guru.html Sorry for the late reply to this post but I used to work for this guy and to say he's a spiv is a understatement. He's been involved in quite a few dodgy businesses based on advertising and the like .
ribzanelli
Leggos ramblings today contain one sentence proving why the Sevco fans just don't get it, they think returning to being the best team in Scotland is their "birthright" rather than something which has to be earned through sporting endevour. What a walloper.
wunfellaff
From the DR, “We handed £500,00 to the SFA last Thursday to clear up all the fines and to pay what we owed the clubs.” Wasn't there some money withheld by someone (prize money?) which when added to the £500K MAY be enough to have paid off the outstanding debt? Sorry to be so vague, but I can't be a**ed going back over the details, and could be wrong. :o The Daily Retard weren't missing a '0', it was a misplaced comma £50,000 not half a million according to the Sporting Lifes version http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/article/2/7986799/green-eyes-further-gers-signings "We handed £50,000 to the SFA last Thursday to clear up all the fines and to pay what we owed the clubs." Now, immediate thoughts are that this is disgraceful, and, possibly why the talk of a lower crowd last week............they are that dodgy. Kill them off. Please.

Bit pissed off that Clyde have to have all manner of garish away kits to avoid having the same colours as the home kit but the newbees don't have the same restriction. Who authorised their kits? The strips clashed so a training kit was used, it's hardly the end of the world
bennett
According to Duff & Duffer, they had over £1,000,000 in football debts not including fines. http://images.mirror...FD9F453C067.pdf So Green's a liar or Duff & Duffer are liars. Or they're all liars, take yer pick. There was over £1m in tv money used to pay football debts by the SFA and SPL, topped up by a further £500,000 from uncle Charlie so whats your point caller?

bennett
£50,000 not £500,000............... The article in the record clearly states £500,00, so unless you have proof which states otherwise ....

So a 5 and 4x0 that means £50,000. Check my post on the last page with the Sporting Life version and not the Retard. £50k in that one, which is as much 'proof' as Green quote from the Retard. And more reliable
