Paulmcc12 18 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 McCoist – “ I've Only 6 Players” – Good News Ally! You’ve Got Over 40 to Pick From! Now that the smoke has cleared, and the prospect of a last minute “switcheroo” for Mr Green’s team into the SPL, or SPL2, has gone, we can start to think about football. However, Mr McCoist is not happy regarding the number of players he has, and the fact that, until Sevco Scotland Ltd is successful in having SFA Membership transferred from Rangers Football Club PLC (in administration) he cannot register any new players. This also ignores the outcome of the Appellate Tribunal under Lord Carloway, and the suggestions that Mr Green would be asked to accept as a sanction the registration ban declared ultra vires by Lord Glennie. But fear not Ally - I have had a quick look, and you have got lots of players! http://scotslawthoughts.wordpress.com/2012/07/16/mccoist-ive-only-6-players-good-news-ally-youve-got-over-40-to-pick-from/ 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
HibeeJibee 8,662 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 I don't know if such odds were ever even offerred - back when all this started... but does anyone know what odds you'd have got on 'Rangers' ending up in SFL3 when they went into admin? Even when CVA failed? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Hedgecutter 8,372 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 So the Sunday Mail will still be sticking to their half a page (if that) a week quota for the Third Division reports, right? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
~~~ 4,915 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 Sky have been awful since this all started. So far behind everyone else. Usually they are so good getting the inside story etc when it comes to anything involving the EPL 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Ivo den Bieman 2,728 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 Well done Dundee on getting back into the SPL,may not be for long though as Dunfermline are looking at a legal challenge to this saying it should be theirs by right. Dunfermline consider legal challenge oh good, more legal action. Just what we need. (maybe it's a cunning ruse to secure UEFA sanctions and be punished by being dropped to SFL3, therefore guaranteeing four games against "The Rangers" with a 1st division squad?) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Lambie's Pigeon Feed 1,624 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 Can those fully in the know confirm the position with the name and whether or not they will be able to sign players? Also am I right in thinking they don't have the go ahead to use Ibrox yet, is this not being investigated by HMRC (or someone on their behalf)?. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Owsley 681 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 I'd let them off with bringing the game in to direpute. Who from our governing bodies has done any better? A very good point. Think it will be a years ban from the Scottish Cup. Well done Dundee btw. I can see some cracking crowds next season and that derby at Perth is one I wouldn't mind attending. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Tommytommybrolin 25 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 http://www.rangersmegastore.com/training-range/rangers/fcp-category/list?resetFilters=true Why are there all the stars on the gear of a club with no history and who haven't won a competitive match, let alone a trophy? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Ivo den Bieman 2,728 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 So the Sunday Mail will still be sticking to their half a page (if that) a week quota for the Third Division reports, right? East Stirlingshire 0-2 The Rangers RANGERS cemented their grip on top spot in Division 3 with a routine victory over struggling Shire at Ochilview. The Ibrox giants enjoyed 90% of the possession, with a header from Carlos Bocanegra and an own goal from Charlie Lytwyn securing the points in the first half. Some great saves from Shire hotstop Callum Antell, and poor finishing, kept the score down. "We did okay and this is another step in the right direction" said Gers boss Ally McCoist. "I am gutted, we deserved better" groaned Shire gaffer John Coughlin. PA Nah, can't see the Gers being reduced to this level of coverage. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Jim Leighton 128 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 Sky have been awful since this all started. So far behind everyone else. Usually they are so good getting the inside story etc when it comes to anything involving the EPL And whatever story they happen to have stumbled across, they then go for immediate reaction on it by exhuming some deadbeat ex bluenose to comment on it, be it Goram, Trevor Steven, Hateley or Gordon Smith. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Guest Pampered Adolescent Report post Posted July 16, 2012 According to BBC there are Chinese whispers outside Hampden. I'm not a racist but the last fucking thing we need is for the Chinese to get involved. Look at Taiwan! I see this as a flippant comment and not one I mark down. I can take this topic way off topic should you wish. When I first came to mainland China, the thought of direct cross-straits flights was similar to the thought that those unionist scumbags would be liquidated and end up effectively in League 4. Now, there are many many direct cross-straits flights, from first, second, third tier cities. How many of you have heard of Hefei? Two regular destinations to Taiwan at present. Saddens me a little, on the day of my death, the improvement Taiwan-China relations will have far outstripped any improvement in Sectarianism in the Scottish central belt. I do think the last five months have improved matters and I do admit both sides large Glasgow football institutions, albeit one in flux at the moment, do have some very decent supporters....... Cheers PA 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
theBOX 14 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 Well done indeed to the social media - and this site especially. The Scottish Football Spring has turned into full Summer. Undoubtedly there are many threads to be tied up yet and those who pulled the strings of evil are still in situ, and still more than capable of mischief. Football aside though, this has been a great example of how the ability of the 'ordinary' people can sweep aside the gerrymandering and scheming of those in power simply by communicating effectively. Be warned though - both sides learn and adapt and should such a situation rear its ugly head again there will be new subtleties and tactics to learn. Keep watching and keep a thread like this handy, for the use of at a moment's notice. That pic of Doncaster and Regan - Regan's head in his hands... Reminds me of something - a failed attempt at something which was a supposed fait accomplit... 1978? Some South American campaign... It'll come to me soon. Anyway - well done one and all. Keep alert though! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
