Wow. Two posts in succession from sensible Rangers fans.

Graham Roberts: "As a Gers fan, I'm delighted. No special treatment, got what we deserve. fresh start, cant wait for the season to begin!"

Eddy Blair: "As a Rangers fan couldn't be more happier for Rangers getting in #Division3, rules were broken price paid #startover #bbcsportsound"

Why are some folk slagging Longmuir? Saying he's on the verge of tears etc?

I thought he handled, what we say of, the press conference very well.

Oh aye... :D:lol::D:lol::D:lol:

Does Associate Membership mean they won't be able to vote on any subsequent league reconstruction proposals?

Did someone say the newco are appealing?

Seriously?

Appealing against what, FFS?

This must be a wind-up, surely?

[and YES, I will keep calling you Shirley! ]

I see. I still think other clubs should have at least been given a chance to get in.

That's a downside of this, albeit, everyone knows what's going on and could've applied (as Charles Green effectively did) specutively.

Does Associate Membership mean they won't be able to vote on any subsequent league reconstruction proposals?

Correct, they're silent members for 3yrs.

Daily Record bang on the money as usual then. A few weeks ago their Monday Jury all reckoned they would be in the SPL? Could still happen I suppose but then they'd have to rebuild Hampden.

Good.

Not going to the SPL's masterplan. They must be absolutely sick.

We can now sit back, and watch the SPL and it's clubs, uphold their "sporting integrity" morals.

Watch the devious move to re-structure the leagues, so that Rangers are re-admitted to the top flight the following season.

Or, watch the SFA declare it null and void and admit Rangers to the SPL.

Good to hear Bill Longmuir dispense with the hollow "sporting integrity" phrase. Sporting integrity is now in direpute.

Well done to the SFL, they played it straight right down the line.

Still that wee nagging doubt the SFA are going to 'intervene' here.

Regan's bluff has been called. 11-1 and 25-5 are killer figures to defy.

That's the umpteenth time my boss has caught me on P&B today, another written warning me thinks.

For your sake I hope he/she is a diddy fan.

LOL Turnbull is loving it!

ha!

General reaction:

Still a long way to go though. No doubt they're scheming away as how best to try to skew it to get them back up as soon as possible. SPL2 proposals wouldn't surprise me, hopefully if so then the SFL1 teams tell them to get to f**k!

Must say, I'm very disappointed with the reactions of the Saints players on twitter. They all seem gutted.

The 5 will include abstentions.

You're not allowed to abstain in a SFL vote unless you have a direct conflict of interest.

Its outrageous that Rangers are just admitted into the SFL.

How come no other clubs were given a chance to apply?
