Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

:D Oh the possible outcomes are scrummy if these rumours/facts/suppositions are close to the mark.

Remember chuckies backers?????

For those of you searching…

Forget the connection with Lagardere – anything there is entirely coincidental.

Suggest that you focus on Formation Group (which bought Paul Stretford’s group, not the other way round), Morpheus and Alessandro Celano.

Charles Green was chair at Formation Group until February. It is run by an Irish (Limerick?) family which seems to have substantial private, offshore wealth (not sure how much) and has diversified and contracted quite alarmingly over past five years or so whilst Green was in charge. It also now is little more than a project management company based out of the back end of Hackney and is involved in a complex and stalled property development just east of the City. I checked out their registered office ages ago and it is in a new-build block (I wondered if they built it) on Hackney Road that looked residential. I could not see any presence of Formation.

Morpheus is interesting because Ellis has mentioned them a few times in other contexts – I can’t recall if he knows them or is involved or just wanted to get in on their act. They are a secretive little company set up to refurbish and interior design houses and flats in London for the uber-rich Arab world. Sort of Essex meets Egypt. I seem to recall them doing some work for Al Fayed.

I’ve never heard of Celano and nobody I know has dug up anything on him.

Alessandro Celano is a director of 1508 London Ltd. 1508 London Ltd "specialise in interiors, architecture, project management, residence management and branding services for both private and commercial clients." (from their LinkedIn page).

The Managing director of 1508 London Ltd is Fouad Qeblawi, who is also head of Private Commissions at Candy & Candy (another interior design company), and Project Manager at Anser Project Managers, who provide "services to private and public sector clients – principally, but not solely, within the construction and property industries" (again from LinkedIn).

My hunch is still that Green's sold the investment to these guys by comparing Ibrox with what was done with Highbury, or at least with the suggestion that there's a significant property redevlopment opportunity of some sort either there or at Murray Park.

Still slightly disappointed with the lack of an 'Independence Day' movie poster mock up, with an alien craft zapping Ibrox.

I've got one. If somebody can tell me how to get a pic from my iphone onto here, it's all yours.

I wonder if it would help the sevco 5088 application for SFL membership if they offered to make a good act of contrition, ask forgiveness for all their sins and promise to lead a better life in the future?

All that stuff is not about the end of the world.

It's about change, and we are most certainly seeing a massive upheaval in Scottish football.

The key point is not to fear change, accept it, welcome it, someting good comes out of it, however long that takes.:D

Exactly, I hate how people think it is doomsday. From what I have read, they believed the planets will align with each other on 20th Dec 2012 and with this phenomena there would be great changes.

Personally, I think it will mean an increase in natural disasters, floods, earthquakes etc.

But I would be happy if the biggest change is a sinkhole to appear beneath ibrox and we say goodbye and good riddance once and for all.

What's all this talk of a vote on the 13th?

They've changed it to Friday 13th so that the headline writers at the Daily Record can have one final shot at scaring the life out of the clubs.

You can just see the back page now, can't you? The Grim Reaper, the scythe, the big letters with blood dripping off them. It's a wet dream for the hacks.

People still buy this shite. Sad times.

Says it all, here.......

My link

What an excellent article. It and the comments below it should be addressed by Regan and Doncaster immediately - especially the fact that there are so many shareholders of oldco in positions of responsibilty. Surely no one should hold shares in a club if they are part of the sfa management structure or involved in any way at another club. Greenie for you sir !

WTF is Regan doing at Fifa hq today ,on beeb news spouting on about goal-line technology,

shouldnt he be here in scotland sorting out this omnishambles???mad.gif

(unless its been recorded previously ph34r.gif)

I'd imagine he said something along the lines of "if we don't get this goal-line technology sorted out soon they'll be rioting in the streets of Raith"

They will still be comfortably the 2nd best supported team in the country.

Wouldn't be too sure about that - their crowds dipped pretty far down when they weren't doing well in the top league, so once the novelty wears off, I can see their maintenance costs coming down when they're only using one stand...

GRANNY DANGER IS RIGHT !

You all need to calm the fcuk down.

Every time there is is news or some complete fud or fanny in the media spouts doom and gloom and the newco will evade any serious punishment or favourable fast tracking, this thread deteriorates into newco ragers media style panicking. The media and powers that be are only thinking of one thing ! themselves.

Remember from Feb 14th onwards ? the durty cheating B*stards are going to get away with this and continue in the SPL winning trophies and the league and sticking their fingers up at us like it never happened and will be worse fans than ever because of it !.

Well here we are in July and at every turn the newco's so called immediate return/entry into the SPL and now the SFL is in serious jeopardy. And what's the SFA's response ? we'll veto and place the newco in the 1st division anyway :o,I just wonder what the SFL's response to that will be if they vote the newco should start in the 3rd division ?.Will they refuse to play any newco in protest ?.

In my opinion ! this ain't over by a long shot YET,there is too many mitigating circumstances that is going to hamper any phoenix newco gers from dominating any form of football in any league. There's the infighting battle to gain control of the newco and if Green looks like he is going to lose the battle then I am going to stick my neck out and say he will liquidate the newco in an instant by placing it in admin,he will leave the newco with crippling debts and hefty possibly non paid running costs. Before the start of the new footballing season the pressure at Ibrox is going to reach boiling point as I don't believe Green has the finances even if the newco was suspended for a year.Green was banking on pre season ticket sales at SPL prices in the tens of thousands and bomber Brown came along and blew that plan up in Greens face. The newco phoenix gers main problem is cash flow, with the orcs boycotting season tickets Greens master plan is going down the toilet faster than vindaloo sting ring attack.Greens plan B must be something really nasty for the clubs assets.

So sit back and enjoy the sinking of the S.S. TITANIC NEWCO as she begins her maiden voyage possibly this season coming, only to be sunk by the orcberg that is it's own fans wanting rangers minded men at the helm at any cost including the club itself.

Not really they staff that tupe over will still need to be paid as will there tax ni and pension contributions...and closing stands doesnt necessarily mean that costs of the year are necessarily reduced. The expensive infrastructure that sdm built means that newco in sfl3 ( and maybe even sfl1 ) will be like rebecah adlington trying to win olympic gold with an anvil tied to each leg. Had Duff and Phelps punted a shedload of staff on their first day like every other administration in the history of administrations...it would have been much easier for newco now. A Cynical person might believe that the plan from day one was to liquidate and rock up for spl again next season like nothing has happened due to compliant media and passive diddy fans....

I really wouldn't trust all those no votes, did some of them come out before Doncaster spent a day with the SFL threatening them? Not a single peep from my club throughout this whole saga...

I'll admit I did a quick check to make sure your team wasn't celtic......rolleyes.gif

One of P+B????

Letter from Kirkcaldy local paper Re Turnbull Hutton

Dear Sir,

May I take this opportunity to voice my thanks and register my appreciation of the brave and ethical stance taken by Mr. Turnbull Hutton the Chairman of Raith Rovers in response to the combined bullying of SPL,SFL and latterly the SFA.

This potential league gerrymandering is beyond belief when you consider that league fixture lists have already been issued and clubs have budgeted accordingly prior to this blatant attempt at bullying and bribery. This is no longer sport it is a financial accommodation where a few powerful executives are threatening to expel 20 clubs (the majority who have over a century of History in Scottish Senior Football) unless the smaller clubs fall into line with their last minute proposals which do not even meet the criteria of their own rule book.

At a purely local level Mr Hutton's stand has restored the faith of all fair minded Raith fans who have invested their hard earned cash and have already bought their Season Tickets. They have done so in the belief that they are helping in their clubs forward financial planning and playing their part in maintaining the integrity of the SFL rather than looking at short sighted financial gain. At the time of purchase they believed that they will this season attend derby games between Raith Rovers, Dundee and Dunfermline.

My understanding is (and I do stand to be corrected if I am wrong) is that in voting in favour of this frantic mechanism to elect Sevco into the First Division Raith fans would be deprived of at least two of these fixtures, not to mention the obvious financial benefit to the club as one of these local clubs would be promoted to the SPL.

Vote against this proposal and if it is still carried, you will suffer the threat of boycott from the Sevco fans and besides the resultant loss of revenue, and as previously pointed out by Mr. Hutton, the threat of harm to the clubs directors and stadium.

The third and Nuclear option is that if you vote against, and the vote for Sevco election is not carried, a second tier Premier League will be created to which you will not be invited to play in, thus you will be cast into the football wilderness. Surely SFL clubs deserve better treatment than this ? This cannot be called in anyway remotely democratic.

I trust that Mr. Hutton is able to negotiate a sensible and fair resolution to the predicament that has been thrust upon him by the total inaction of the football authorities in carrying out their duties as per their own constitution.

Yours in sport

Mr. G. Munroe

In an earlier post, someone outlined the massive running costs that any new Sevco XI would still have, but with 3rd Div crowds / prices / sponsorship - etc... Got me thinking. With a threadbare squad, I think they would still be a lot better than their Div 3 rivals - but this same squad parachuted into a bloody hard league with steet-wise outfits like Falkirk, Dunfermline/Dundee, Partick... and more... they could struggle.

From a financial POV, the argument from nappy-clarting prophets of doom is that they want Rangers back in the SPL as quickly as humanly possible, so having them start in Div 3 is a killer. As I have suggested, Div 1 will be a helluva' lot harder to crack. Not so sure that a newco parachuted into Div 1 would guarantee that quick return that the suits crave.

Just a thought.

I agree that it very much seems like Green's only way of securing working capital was through transfer fees and st sales. Sadly i think that regan and doncaster are also aware of this hence the desperate and disgraceful attempts to fix as high a league position as possible. Their talk of reduced revenue is a smokescreen...the old rfc are dead as are the days of ibrox being full of 50 thousand glory hunters cheering on a side that cant be paid for. If thats what sponsors and sky wanted ( and no one from any sponsor or sky has confirmed this) ...then those days are already gone. The suits know that newco cannot survive in sfl 3. For me regan and doncaster are sacrificing the credibility of the league system purely for the benefit of one team, and to the long term detriment of all the rest. The hope is that continued fan power on social media like this will continue to thwart this corrupt plan.
