Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

Still the same old argument about the "good of Scottish football". I thought your lot were all saying "fvck the others, let them die". In any case if Scottish football has reached the point where it relies on the existence of total corruptionto exist then perhaps it really should die and start again from scratch.

hear hear!! was it not a case of a big EFF YOU when they were wanting to join the EPL?? bunch of hypocritical fraudsters and cheats!!

Don't if this has already been posted :-

But leading sports lawyer Dan Chapman, of Full Contact Law, told Sportsmail: 'If the courts were to say that they wished to overturn the transfer ban, the SFA will have to say they don't recognise the decision of the court.

'And, if Rangers want to impose the decision upon them, the SFA will have no choice but to expel them. Otherwise, the game is in utter disarray and anarchy, with no one paying any attention to a decision by the governing body.

'If the Court of Session find in favour of Rangers, the SFA certainly don't have to accept.

'They will say: "If you want us to accept that, you are further breaching the rules - which means we'll expel you. In that case, your legal remedy is pretty pointless because you're no longer a club allowed to play in our leagues".

'It would be a futile victory. It seems to be that, for want of a better expression, it's been a bit of a cock-up.'

But this ignores the commercial reality that some/many clubs do not want to lose Rangers because of the potential loss of revenue.

So the SFA have managed to dig themselves into a hole here.

This day will go down in history as the day Scottish football died.

1. A ludicrous CVA which will be accepted by all, resulting in Rangers returning debt free in the new season

2. SFA being shown as incompetent, which will lead to the original 100K fine, which wont be paid, as they were in Administration when it was imposed.

3. SPL chairmen welcoming them back with open legs tomorrow.

I hate to agree with the other shower in Glasgows East End, but their paranoia and conspiracy theories now seem to be justified.

Just close the game down now.

Sad sad sad :death

Surely a completely hollow "victory" for Rangers today. The CoS has said the SFA are completely within their rights to punish Rangers for bringing the game into disrepute but the punishment has to be stipulated in their regs which the embargo wasn't. The case has been passed back to the SFA to impose a correct punishment. Given the 3 options the "cop out" choice on the part of the SFA would seem to be the ban from the Scottish Cup. Surely they have been riled enough to go for the suspension / expulsion option now as the Cup ban was deemed insufficient previously.

Wrong Rangers forced the SFA to expel them, they haven't dug any hole .. nobody would blame them !!

Clubs forced into Administration through loss of revenue might. So far, they don't seem all that keen on even dropping Rangers from the SPL.

All true.

Sadly expected, which makes it tragic that we are stuck with this cancer ruining our game.

Scottish Football will never ever flourish or improve if next season is "as you were"

Terrible decision from the CoS today, too many buns in high places.

That's a great point, they could bring a decision to the table where Rangers can abide by the original decision of the transfer embargo or be punished for going through the courts with expulsion. The choice is then up to rangers as to which one they take, the SFA are still kinda sitting on the fence, which appears to be what they want to do anyway.

Why on earth are the Bears making such a great thing about history? It really means bvgger all to most of the fans apart from those who lived through it. Just look at any thread about clubs' best players and most of those quoted are from the past 20 years. The great legends, even in the case of Rangers, from the 50s, 60s and 70s are totally forgotten. Were the Pars to go out of existence tomorrow and start again as Dunfermline and Cowdenbeath United then I would support them even though they had no history. However nobody could ever take away the memories of the night the Pars won the Cup in 61 or when we slaughtered Valencia. They are special moments for me but they are just lines on a page for those who are too young to have witnessed them. That is why the idea that Rangers fans or even ex-players would be devastated by the loss of their history is ridiculous. Nobody can take away their memories - as long as they have memories to take away.

FFS it's nowhere near that bad. The CVA might be accepted however there is still the Big Tax Case and the EBT investigations to come. They are never going to be debt free either as Green has merely loaned the cash to Rangers to be repaid over a number of years - he gets his cash back regardlless as long as the CVA is accepted. Make no mistake he has no interest in Rangers what-so-ever he is an Asset stripper pure and simple. He loans RFC £8.5m to buy a company with millions of debt then offers the Creditors a pittance in the pound in the hope he comes out owning a business he can flog on to the next Whyte / Murray on the other side and all the time he is being repaid his original outlay.

I have just been on a few English boards and the number of club forums where the fans are disgusted with Greens CVA is incredible.

Rangers poor reputation is getting worse day by day.

Who would give Greens Rangers any credit. I would imagine all those who have been screwed over wont, every club in the UK will want cash up front for any player sales and I am sure it will be the same in Europe. Green better have big pockets to keep the people happy.
