Pete's Frontier
Is this the same 'baffled' polis that watched sevco fans raining down cups of urine on Hibs fans at Ibrokes? Methinks calling them to the scene would be more likely to cause Mr Llambias more zombie mischief. Gonnay describe him again, Derek? THE KING
BAFFLED police revealed that they had no record of an attack on Rangers chief executive Derek Llambias. Llambias claimed he was attacked in a Glasgow city bar for the second time and vowed he won’t be scared out of Ibrox. But police struggled to find any report of the attack. A source close to Llambias was reported at the weekend saying this was the second such attack. He said: “He was minding his own business when he was approached by a man. At first there was a lot of shouting but then there was a bit of pushing and shoving. It is the second time this has happened to Derek in a hotel bar in Glasgow but it will not stop him focusing on the job he has at Rangers. “Derek and Mike Ashley can’t understand why there is hostility to the new set-up. They want to rebuild Rangers into a strong team capable of challenging Celtic again and being a force in Europe. They keep asking themselves where Rangers would be but for the £10 million loan from Sports Direct.” Llambias was installed at Ibrox by influential shareholder and Newcastle owner Mike Ashley in November, and watched the 2-0 defeat by Hibs on Friday. Last night, a Police Scotland spokeswoman, said: “We can’t find any report of this incident.” Many Gers fans have been upset over Ashley’s involvement in the club despite the Sports Direct chief keeping it afloat with loans which now total £10million. Llambias could lose his job if Dave King is successful in March 4’s EGM vote in London Why would police be baffled if there was no report?...is this the work of terrorist loving blogger Chris Graham or Kings paid propaganda ...level5?

WeeHectorPar
When did we throw cups of urine at hibs fans? Sevconians most certainly do not throw cups of urine at opposing fans; They drink them. It keeps the hormones in the family. Pete's Frontier
With all these rodents feasting on the bones at Mordor, if King wins does that make him King Rat? I might have to start rooting for King Rat.
Ira Gaines
To be fair here, it'd be a handy stunt for them to pull. Try and gain themselves some sympathy, of which they have none. Certainly if it was happening to another board member at another club, people would see it as a lie much easier. I'm not buying it. Looking at it, it'd be a really dodgy stunt. And then I look at who makes the claim. And realise it might be just that.
Double Drag Back
I think we can all agree that people from the Kingdom are genuinely incredible people: handsome, kind, intellectual, generous lovers, handy in a scrap, loyal, witty, artistic, wise beyond their years, cultured, modest etc etc.

GreenockRover
This story has Toxic all over it, all a ploy to allow them to postpone the EGM on 'safety' grounds, rats desperate to hold on to power. So... it's a lie then ? Fabricated story you say ? Never really happened at all ? Completely made up? That would be a story in itself no? I did not say that, So...is it the truth then ? Accurate story you say? Actually happened ? nothing made up? What I can tell you is the Derek has previous for this, similar story with Newcastle in 2011 turned out to be bollix It may have happened, it may be shoite, I await the police report. Except...you didn't. Weighed right on in there with ..."all a ploy to allow them to postpone the EGM...." Daily Express banned if Glib and Shameless arrives I presume ? A wee bit of help for you then Tedi. Try using the tried and tested "In my opinion" (Imo) or "I strongly suspect.." or "it's possibly/probably..." or any other similair pre-caveat to clearly differentiate what is meant to be "a theory" as opposed to laying out bullshit as fact. ? There's a good chap. Oh Tedi, The whole idea of whether the "attack" happened or not was NOT my original point. You do see that ? Don't you ? My point to you, based on your *ahem* "theory" of trying to get the EGM postponed, was that surely the better story would actually be your proposed theory as opposed to the alleged attack ? To be fair, I also side tracked slightly by alerting you to the value of being clear in the difference between inferred fact and opinion. Merely trying to help. Mea culpa. I understand your defensiveness over any criticism aimed at your posts, but do try and read the original post you are replying to a little more carefully before diving in ? For the record, on the subject discussed, the lack of a police report does not mean something never took place. It means it wasn't reported to the police. Having seen representatives of ra peepul in action before, it is quite possible it did happen. Llambias is both ugly and smart enough to be able to handle the situation if it was verbals but, equally, understands full well, the idea that it would NOT be a valid reason to attempt to postpone the meeting. As you also said, similarities of 2011 are striking. You will of course be worried that it changed nothing. Any news on the new location yet btw? -
scottxs
Why report it to the newspapers then, it is not newsworthy either, a nothing story put out by toxic jack. reporter was probably in the hotel. a nothing story that you keep going on about.

bennett
The report about llambias was full of "sources close to.... Said...." Which apart from being straight out of jacks big boom of spin, looks like the paper who ran with it was being careful with what they printed and never really believed it.
