H Wragg
Where can those defending this nonsense turn when the likes of Jeffrey Donaldson and Sammy Wilson are denying the existence of a red hand salute?
Fotbawmad
Another one for the list http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/439195/Ex-Rangers-director-Dave-King-returns-to-end-infighting-at-Ibrox Apparently the editor had made the correction, which is strange because its usually the other way round https://twitter.com/herron_media/status/394006625666990080
Raidernation
Normally I wouldn't bother, but.................... Surely the simple fact Dave "messiah" King wants to be involved with "whatever-the-hell-the-died-club-is-called-now-sevco-the-rangers-inernatio...........zzzzzzzzz" makes him far from "fit and proper"?
Bloomogganners
Normally I wouldn't bother, but.................... Surely the simple fact Dave "messiah" King wants to be involved with "whatever-the-hell-the-died-club-is-called-now-sevco-the-rangers-inernatio...........zzzzzzzzz" makes him far from "fit and proper"? “There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one's safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn't, but if he was sane he had to fly them. If he flew them he was crazy and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to he was sane and had to. Yossarian was moved very deeply by the absolute simplicity of this clause of Catch-22 and let out a respectful whistle."
captain kirk
I see King has hit the ground running with his bullshit in full flow. Fingers crossed that their bosses have ensured they have adequate police protection at their home and installed a panic button. Better still, found them a safehouse. The orcs will be crawling out their caves soon. Word will spread that there is another one on "the list".
bennett
RangersMedia have picked up the story http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=260572#entry1061482433 That photo's a few years old, as the army has stopped using that type of camo. Still pretty stupid of them to pose like that, seriously what goes on in some peoples minds? Hell mend them...
Bookies Love Me
SevcoBingo.jpg First one to shout house gets a million shares in Sevco. One missing; Agenda I suppose this is not included because it's so frequently used. Anyway, everybody should print it off, fill out, and send all entries to Jabba, c/o cliché department, the big hoose, govan.

Imagine doing that then thinking it is acceptable and would not be seen by the public. It's not the rangers supporter's flag. It's the NI flag and the Nazi salute that will get people upset/angry. Silly people.
bennett
The MOD has confirmed that the photo is a few years old but that isn't good enough for Densboy..... -
captain kirk
The Union Flag is inscribed with the words "Invicta Loyal", the name of a Kent-based Glasgow Rangers supporters club, and below it hangs the flag of Northern Ireland. There is a suggestion the soldiers may be making a "Red Hand of Ulster" salute, once used by Rangers fans as a sign of allegiance with Northern Ireland Loyalists, the MoS said. But Democratic Unionist MP Sammy Wilson said: "This is not a salute made by marching bands (in Northern Ireland). It is not clear what the context is but I do not think it can be explained away as some type of Red Hand of Ulster salute." Jeffrey Donaldson MP of the Democratic Unionist Party added: "Anyone who would imitate a Nazi salute in front of the Union Flag or wearing the uniform dishonours these flags and the British Army. "Any symbolism associated with fascism has no place in the Unionist tradition or any regiment of the British Army.
beermonkey
The MOD has confirmed that the photo is a few years old but that isn't good enough for Densboy..... bennett
Poor Tedi .. he just cannot keep away. If the MOD have confirmed it .. good enough for me. Whether the photo is a few years old or not it matters not a jot. The fact that they posted it in a public domain is. Only Ringers fans could really be that dumb .. Out of uniform ... do what you like. In uniform .. pay the price. Tedi hasn't mentioned this yet and i fail to see why you would bring him into this. . -

It was a right wing salute ...call it a nazi salute or whatever that was used in the '80s when singing Rule Britannia and 'The Queen' at games. With the arrival of PC it was more or less done away with and everybody left a little embarrassed by it all. There is actually a picture of a Rangers fan standing with an Israeli flag giving a nazi salute. Then there came the Red Hand of Ulster salute excuse. Good luck to anybody doing that at a Loyalist parade in Northern Ireland! A community that takes great pride in the sacrifices they made in destroying National Socialism.

Regarding the dozens of rangers fans that gave nazi salutes in Israel during a European game a few years back , it was Rangers themselves who claimed to UEFA that it was a red hand salute.Rangers offered a swift response to UEFA's call for clarification, and a spokesman for the European body told PA Sport: "The disciplinary unit will not be taking any further action. "It is also the sign of the Red Hand of Ulster and this convinced the disciplinary unit to end their investigation." Ken Fitlike
If I were the Nazis, I would protest about a disreputable bunch like the The Rangers support adopting a salute similar to their own.
flyingrodent
Pretty crazy stuff - you'd think that there wouldn't be a single person in Scotland stupid enough to defend a straight-arm salute, but apparently there are many. I mean, how hard is this? Just say, those guys are idiots, nothing to do with our club.... But naw. That would apparently be "giving in" to the hardcore Republican ideologues at the, uh, at the Daily Mail. Also, bonus stupidity points to the guy on Rangers Media saying that the Romans gave straight-arm salutes, and that calling the Romans "fascists" would be PC Gone Mad. Clearly written by a guy who knows nothing about the origin of the word "fascism".
