Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

Anyone know what the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund has done with the cash yet? They've been holding onto for a while now

Also, why did Rangers fans care if the company went into liquidation?

Given liquidation apparently doesn't mean the end of the club, why didn't the fans have a 'show liquidation the yellow card' campaign instead?

They have value for money season tickets to buy .... and charity begins at home. Green is no longer homeless ... Fat Sally can afford his bill at Greg's ... they do loads for charity cases. They've given 7.5 million a year to footballers that are not wanted in the upper leagues and allow them to showcase their skills against plumbers, painters and electricians ..

In a way you have to adm ....... naaah !!!

20million+ over 3 years to get back into the top flight, a "warchest" gone twice over, a wise investment to protect the managerial legend that is sally........................................................................... Bought my poppy last Friday from local newsagents up here.

It also appears 'money can't buy history'.

Seems it can if you're Chalres Green though. :unsure2:

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Haud on a minute ......

How did the company own the club's history and sell it?

Anyone?

Go back to the CVA proposal.

The sale consideration under the New Company scenario has not been apportioned. Under the Liquidation scenario, the club ceases to trade and therefore the player contracts terminate and registrations revert to the SFA and therefore may have no value. There is assumed to be no residual value in any Intellectual Property or Goodwill as the club has ceased to trade.

Was the note set against Intellectual Property Rights / Goodwill,Player Contracts & stock. valued at £5,300,000.

Subsequent to that Mr Green's consortium purchased the goodwill for £1.

History was added into goodwill because Mr Green said so, though not shown on the accounts as history though release of negative goodwill has been used to massage a loss making business plan.

The intellectual property rights, the more tangible ones are in the hands of Rangers Retail Ltd which is a totaly seperate company from The Rangers Football Club Limited or The Rangers Iternational Football Club PLC. If you accept that he did indeed purchase the history then presumably its Rangers Retail Limited that owns it now, if it has a finanical value that is.

Can't realy answer your question TBH as history never dies, warts and all its there for everyone to see. Putting a financial value on it ...................................................no idea myself.

From the official rangers website,,,begging for money to get them through administration...why bother if it's just the company ?

RANGERS legends Walter Smith and Sandy Jardine have today launched the 'Rangers Fans Fighting Fund'

The Fighting Fund urges supporters worldwide to back the club they love by making donations to a secure account that will generate essential revenue throughout the administration process and beyond.

Fans from Govan to America have really stepped up and shown their incredible support for Rangers in what has been a difficult last few weeks and now supporters can make a positive and direct difference to the day to day running of Rangers right now.

The 'Rangers Fans Fighting Fund' will allow supporters to make cash donations that will directly affect the club now and will go a long way towards helping secure its future.

This Fund compliments the club's own initiatives to sell out the remaining games of the season at Ibrox.

Supporters have filled the Stadium for the last two SPL games against Kilmarnock and Hearts and there is little doubt the fans will turn out in huge numbers for the rest of the campaign.

Money raised through the 'Fighting Fund' will go to the club's running costs and supporters can contribute right now to the secured Rangers Assembly bank account.

• Royal Bank of Scotland Giffnock Branch

• Sort Code 832022 - Account Number 00741694

• For overseas transactions fans should use - IBAN number GB90RBOS 8320 2200 7416 94

• Supporters can also use PayPal to make a donation - fans on PayPal can log on to their accounts then type in assembly@thebluenose.co.uk to contribute

Further details on how to donate can be found on www.rangers.co.uk/FightingFund, the Official Rangers Football Club Facebook page and the Rangers Supporters Assembly Facebook page now.

Club representatives - including Supporters Liaison Manager Jim Hannah and influential supporter Andrew McCormack, who both advised on the creation of the campaign - met with supporters' groups at Ibrox Stadium on Saturday and they have all overwhelmingly endorsed the 'Rangers Fans Fighting Fund'.

Walter Smith, Sandy Jardine, Jim Hannah and Rangers Supporters Assembly President Andy Kerr will control the bank account and pass on donations to administrators Duff and Phelps as and when the money is required.

Smith said: "It has been an extremely difficult time for everyone associated with Rangers but the supporters have shown unbelievable commitment to our club throughout the administration process and deserve great credit.

"I encourage all fans to make a donation and back this campaign as their support will help safeguard the club's future."

Sandy Jardine said: "The club has been inundated with messages of support from fans throughout the world and everyone associated with Rangers has shown their unwavering loyalty during these difficult times.

"Now, more than ever, we need their backing and I know hundreds of thousands of supporters will do all they can for the club they love and make a donation to the campaign."

Ally McCoist said: "I encourage all fans to back the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund and help the club in any way they can, as they have done in recent weeks.

"Our fans have been fantastic. They are showing their true colours and have not walked away during these times of need.

"On behalf of everyone at the club I would like to thank our supporters for all their efforts and I ask them to keep backing us and keep filling Ibrox for matches as their support will make a difference."

Foundation of Hearts CVA offer accepted by Ukio Bankas according to twitter.

Good to see that like Dunfermline, the Hearts fans have managed to save their club.

Unbelievable that the loyal berrz just stood back and watched their club die.

Especially with the 5,000,000 fans they have.

The thing is, it really wouldn't have taken that much effort for enough Rangers fans to do something similar, and put together something that would comfortably see them with the 2nd highest budget in Scotland, but probably a fair bit off Celtic. The fact that they couldn't manage this tells you enough.
