TonMan
Got to say I'm loving reading back through the 1st page when a number of people called it that the club would be liquidated with a couple of Rangers fans in denial that it could happen at all.

Dundee Hibernian
That Black/Beattie/Shiels et al pish: just the usual nonsense from the Scottish Media for this time of year, 'cepting it's not foreign names being thrown onto the reports. I doubt Sevco will be playing anywhere at all this weekend.
Thumper
Daily Mail journo Stephen McGowan is saying on twitter that zombie **** have offered Shiels four years @ £7K per week. Kevin Thomson was only on £8k a week back when the oldco actually had money. Maybe they're going to pay him pro rata and take half off for his lack of stereo vision? -
Wokcomble
Oh d ear... http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/18972417 And the main sticking point is Rangers' insistence that they are not prosecuted following a dual contracts investigation. Now that has got to be a joke, hasn't it ? There would be absolute mayhem if this was agreed.

In my absolutely most apoplectic John McEnroe voice - you can not be serious You almost have to admire the sheer gall and brass necked effrontery of them, to even try and suggest that.
jester
That is mad. Why is it mad? Charlie one suit probably knows he'll never have to pay up anyway.
GordieBoy80
Why is it mad? Charlie one suit probably knows he'll never have to pay up anyway. On the part of the player, he could get a not bad guaranteed income at many other clubs. People getting paid at Ibrox is an alien concept.
hellbhoy
So Green is now playing poker publicly with the authorities ! good luck with that Charlie.Playing with just a high card hand and the authorities have a same suit royal flush hand that can't be beaten. He is playing to the very last minute before folding over and accepting any conditions attached to the transfer of the licence,it's just a bravado show to the fans that they took to the very last minute before "they had to accept" or "they were forced to" or "there was no other choice" or other that says they had a battle to overcome these so called soon to be ILLEGAL punishments as they will be known to the fans but in the end they were blackmailed. Green does not have any leverage at all or he will not get the licence,it's as simple as sign this LEGAL document that you will accept and with these conditions and not try to go to court to have them reversed.Take it up the bum Charlie without the lube and get a team out so we can point out and laugh.

wunfellaff
Uh oh FA step in over Davis payment to newco Michael Grant Chief football writer THE Football Association have told Southampton not to give the fee for Steven Davis straight to Rangers newco. The agreed sum of around £750,000 has still to be paid and the FA have told the Barclays Premier League club that, for the time being, they should send it to the SFA. Southampton officially confirmed 19 days ago that they had signed the former Ibrox captain and, although Rangers newco revealed last weekend a fee had been agreed between the clubs, no money has yet changed hands. Herald Sport understands that instead of placing the money with the SFA, both Southampton and Rangers newco have agreed to delay the financial transaction until membership of the SFA is approved. The FA intervened because of the uncertainty that still hangs over Rangers. Oldco Rangers were not entitled to the money because it sold the players' registrations to the newco, and the newco cannot take any money for Davis either because it is not a football club until it has been granted SFA membership. After reports last night that talks between Rangers newco and the governing bodies were deadlocked, more discussions are likely to take place today. However, it is only once those reach some sort of resolution, and Rangers have received SFA membership, that the FA permit Southampton to send the money to Ibrox. Green has tried to negotiate fees for most of the players who have left Ibrox this summer, but was successful in doing so only with Davis and Southampton. Others – such as Everton with Steven Naismith and Norwich City with Steven Whittaker – opposed his view that players who refused to allow their contracts to be transferred from the oldco to the newco were in breach of contract. Except for Southampton, none agreed with him that Rangers newco were entitled to fees for the departing players. By agreeing a settlement, Southampton were able to process the deal without awaiting FIFA clearance. Green also revealed yesterday that Andrew Little, the Northern Ireland striker, has agreed to sign a new deal at the club. Little is due to return to Ibrox today, having agreed terms with the club, and will train alongside Ian Black and Craig Beattie, the former Hearts players who are expected to become Ally McCoist's first signings once the SFA membership is approved. "Andrew Little is coming back to the club," Green said. "Alistair has a list of players and he has been speaking to some of them. We have a number of other targets lined up and it's up to Ally to decide. He picks the ones on the field and I pick the ones in the office. "Some of our senior players have agreed to stay with us and that's really commendable because you couldn't blame them for picking up their bags and going elsewhere. For Alistair now, the balance is getting the players in that can play in the third division but can also move forward as the club moves forward."

It is a joke, the worse cheating ever in Scottish football and they demand no consequences from it, it's laughable...here's a thought, why don't they cut all ties with the now defunct Rangers, call themselves something else other than hinting (stating) they are a continuation of the defunct Rangers, new badge etc and then demand that all the crimes died with Rangers. They should be kicked out of SCottish football if this was about doing the right thing

pozbaird
According to that BBC story, Charlie just wants this sorted so that Alistair can load his players onto a coach and go win a football match on Sunday... A coach? A fcuking coach? What, no Dunblane Hydro first? The shame... even though they liked to act like it, seems they aren't Real Madrid, Manchester United or Milan after all.
