Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

It will be interesting to see how Rangers TV's negotiations go with the SFL, assuming other broadcasters aren't interested. They played hardball with Falkirk TV, but eventually came to an amicable settlement. Could be some extra revenue coming the SFL's way, assuming Rangers global fanbase isn't a Seville type myth..

I would like to think SFL take it slowly and carefully, if necessary signing a deal for X months with Rangers TV to get things started, while exploring options with likes of BBC Alba, Premier Sport, ESPN, etc.

There's also surely potential to get BBC Alba and BBC Scotland to pay-up for earlier rounds of the Challenge and League cups, too.

The war officially ended at 1456 hrs on Monday 16 July when the vote to elect team 12 was concluded by the SPL Chairmen.

It seems fair to say that the forces of darkness (well, half of them anyway) have been soundly defeated and that good has triumphed in the land.

When do the War Crimes trials begin? When are the guilty dragged before the courts of justice?

Proud to be a diddy. Taken the rest of the day off work and off to the pub (a former Sevco bastion) to drink fine ales and look smug.

PTFC....Glasgow`s oldest professional club.

That reminds me, I need to pay The Bristol Bar and The Loudon Tavern a visit each just after the new season kicks off. When's the first Ramsden Cup match?

ps is the irony of the sponsorship of that trophy lost on everyone else? Mibbe they could pawn Ibrox to raise some dough.

Fit's well with the League Cup, sponsored with money seized from criminals. Prize money could be getting a boost this year if Strathclyde's finest get their skates on.. biggrin.gif

Can we now officially call Sevco a diddy club?

My club have never been out of the top two divisions in Scottish football, something Sevco supporters can not say.

My club are not in the challenge cup this season, something Sevco fans can say.

These pictures tell the story

Being reported that John Yorkston is taking legal advice re: decision. Is this a competition to see who can make themselves the most unpopular man in Scottish football?

If he's smart he'll raise an action for compensation rather than seeking an order that affects the game, since I suspect that would be against the rules. Unless he goes to CAS?

Well done Dundee on getting back into the SPL,may not be for long though as Dunfermline are looking at a legal challenge to this saying it should be theirs by right.

Dunfermline consider legal challenge

It's a pretty badly-written article... there was relegation in 2008: Gretna were relegated. And the instances regarding ground criteria are covered in the rules. Had Dundee an insufficient ground the Pars would undoubtedly be in, IMO.

Nothing against Dunfermline, but they deserve to go down, simple because they were not good enough to stay in the league, with or without Rangers.

Dundee deserve to go up because its better to reward success than failure.

No,no, Mark....we enjoyed the 4 in a row so much better than your 9 in a row.

1-CVA not accepted

2-Liquidation

3-SPL knockback

4-SFL knockback to Div1 putting them in Div3

Yes,this has been the best 4 in a row Scottish football has seen in ages.
