Quote from former SFA president John Macbeth;

"If you look after the sport the money will follow you, if you look after the money you'll kill the sport.''

This should be shown to all the SPL chairmen.

"If you look after the sport the money will follow you, if you look after the money you'll kill the sport.'' John MacBeth

Hit the nail firmly and squarely on the head with that statement if you ask me. Chairmen take note, before postponing your vote again.

ADD TO THAT WHAT WAS QUOTED DIRECTLY BEFORE THAT

''Football would survive without Rangers, maybe not at the same level, and the game would may be lose some fans - but so be it,'' he said.

The same utter bullshit line spoken time and time again. An entity the size of Lehmans went bust. Rangers are a mere insiginificance in terms of scale. But the ostriches will continue to bury their heads in the sands.

And yet while doing so they are the ones shafting us in the erse. I'd love to see the video of that on Youtube.

I honestly think that is a bit harsh on the SFA.

I don't at all, but then I am in the diddy camp that believes they go easy on the big two while happy to hammer other clubs.

They rewrote the rules and published them for all to see. I am sure they believed their rule "can impose any sanction they see fit" was legal within the scope of their association.

They re-wrote the rules that could be interpreted in a manner the CoS saw fit. The failing for that lies not with Rangers, not with the law, but with the SFA for not writing rules that implicitly stated their purpose.

SFA have showed willingness so far .. guess it's a matter of how big their sacks really are or has it all been a sideshow for the masses !!!

They have shown a willingness to restrict their punishment for the benefit of Rangers, which refers back to my first comment.

At present we have a senior member of the SFA who was paid via an EBT which immediately puts him in a position of conflict imo.

You know it's actually hard to actually take in the scale of rule breaking that Rangers have been allowed to get away with, the administrators must be sailing close to the wind too in their actions and pronouncements.

This is going to make excellent read as a book :)

Let hope the ending is as happy as it should be for most on here, woohoo

So this SPL Fair Play meeting/vote today.

I assume Ross County took Dunfermline's place?

As in life, as in the disciplinary committees of Scottish football. I'm hoping we've gone along the lines of "you can't miss what you never had... you are the weakest link... goodbye."

I genuinely have no idea.
