Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

"If either of the Old Firm left the SPL you would find it difficult to get a sponsor for the league and get a TV contract up and running."

Can you believe this guy from the Rangers supporters association? They still think this is a good enough reason to save their arses???

And prey tell, just which companies and organisations and institutions will want to be seen to sponsor a league or a cup or anything else for that matter that has the amount of resentment and toxicity that the SPL will be festering with if Rangers get in?

Hardly a PR gem when the stadiums are half full and the ones who do attend will be waving banners reminding the good folks at home in their armchairs watching it on SKY SPORTS 1690 telling RFC to GTF. Trust me, the major corporate sponsors already know the strength of feeling out there and won't exactly being queuing up to put their brand name on something so corrupt, they have their own ongoing corporate image to think about.

The only sponsor that would fit would be Andrex so we could at least wipe our tears away, blow our noses and clean up the shite after your pox ridden club and their support have defecated all over the sanctity of sporting integrity once again. There's certainly much shitting of breeks going on behind closed doors today me thinks.

PHUKUM

Now, here's a thought. If RSA etc are threatening a boycott of our clubs, why don't we, The Diddy Army, contact any sponsors associated with RFC and ask them why they wish to be associated with such a toxic institution, e.g. " Does RFC reflect your company's core values of tax dodging, cheating, bigotry, etc, etc? " Could focus a few minds and possibly sway the balance if enough e:mails were sent or messages posted on their corporate websites. We should co-ordinate thru here and react en masse as soon as a prospective sponsor is even hinted at.

Viewing for last nights documentary peaked at 550,000 in Scotland alone. On a par with the Scottish Cup Final. Source BBC Sportsound on twitter.

That's almost as many who went to Manchester :P

It's effectively impossible for either Clyde or East Stirlingshire to be bodysnatched by a reformed Rangers... the former is a CIC, the latter has been acquired by its Supporters Trust.

Any bodysnatching, i.e. an Airdrie Utd-style takeover and relocation, would need to be of a standard club whose shareholder(s) were able and desiring to sell - in doing so, of course, exterminating the club's existence as they currently know it.

It's a bit irritating that when Airdrie went tits up we uncovered that KPMG our liquidator was employed by our "largest creditor" Barr Group as their company auditor. We were told there was no conflict......Except what if KPMG had told Barr to GTF re Airdrie and had lost major business from Barr....Quelle suprise they didn't. No conflict of interest....Happens all the time.

Not to mention joint liquidator from KPMG Blair Nimmo, the prominent Falkirk supporter. Which club benefitted most from Airdrie's demise? Can you guess who avoided relegation that year? No conflict of interest apparently

.

These mobs are all as crooked as each other, no surprise D & P are at it.

Forgot to add which other club was looking for access to an SPL compliant stadium around that the time? Mr Barr's very own Ayr United. No conflict there either apparently.

When the BBC were eventually convinced to investigate, who did we get.....McIntyre, Daly......Traynor even? No we got Chick Young.........Chick fucking Young! No harm to the wee man but investigative journalist he is not.

What about Berwick? ;)

Never Mind - the curse is working, Airdrie have played in only three first division playoff finals...

2008 Airdrie lost to Clyde in the final, and were promoted to Division 1 because Gretna went bust.

2009 Airdrie lost to Ayr Utd in the final and retained their Division 1 position because Livingston were relegated to Division 3 due to financial irregularity

2012 Airdrie lost to Dumbarton in the final, complete this pattern

If Rangers go tits up, Airdrie will benefit by being promoted to the 1st. Green could buy the assets of Rangers.....even just Ibrox and offer Ballantyne with a shed load of money for a "merger". Could the SFL President and Rangers supporter be tempted? They could even play at Airdrie if necessary.

How could the SFL stop it happening?

Newco Rangers jump directly to the 1st, probably doesn't sound too bad in comparison to some of the other options......Not to Airdrie supporters obviously

This scenario has not been totally dismissed by some

worrying.

"“We are well progressed with a plan that is designed to bring both fan ownership and long term financial stability to the club, without reliance on funding from either a bank or a benefactor. We do not believe we can separate the sporting integrity of our league from the sustainable future of our club; the two go hand in hand."

It would have been nice - if highly surprising - for Motherwell to come out and say no Newco but the above gives me hope we'll do the right thing.

Talk about lack of grasp of reality:

IAN BLACK ON RANGERS RADAR

Rangers are looking at Hearts' Scottish Cup final hero Ian Black, according to a scout at the Ibrox club.

The midfielder, who was inspirational as Hibernian were defeated at Hampden Park last weekend, is a free agent after it was decided both parties would part company this summer.

And Rangers could look to take advantage if they succeed in having their ban on signing players lifted.

"Black's an excellent, solid, intelligent player," Rangers scout John Brown said in the Daily Record.

"He is a player who would enhance our squad and is on the list."
