On positive they've made it through another season so an achievement in itself. I just wonder how much longer Gerard can work miracles in Europe. Good post, M8. You are every Sellick fan on P&B.

bairney
I wonder what will happen to Wigan Athletic if they follow Rangers* from administration into being liquidated? Will the club and fans turn a blind eye and maintain/pretend it never happened? Just add an asterisk elastoplast and everything will be fine, even if a new entity of Wigan (Sevan?) would have to be born in the lower tiers of the league structure. rainbowrising
Can a Sevco fan explain to me why they believed anything Dave King ever told them about Ashley and SD? The man was referred to as a glib and shameless liar by a judge; doesn't appear to have bothered you.
Gaz FFC
Was up at my folks earlier and boredom/curiosity took over and I opened up the sports pages of the Daily Record Decided to read Barry Ferguson's for a bit of a laugh. I don't see what all the problems are that People are on about. Rangers are in great shape and I remember nearly pishing my frillies when the bold Barry actually said he "wasn't surprised Rangers fans stepped up" when it came to backing the club with money Just wow.

Guest Longbottom Leaf
Just want to be a part of this monumental thread. Rangers don't seem to be learning lessons. Up to their neck in debt again. Can't seem to avoid legal problems. Asset poor. And not winning any friends it seems with their other clubs, neither at the board or fan level. I prognosticate catastrophic consequences for the Ibrox club.
Gaz FFC
What happened to all the investment King was trumpeting not that long ago? Pretty sure I read somewhere earlier this year that he had found some suckers with too much money and zero sense who were gonnae invest millions in the Rangers?

I'm guessing it was probably a lie, aimed at keeping the fans on-side and selling season tickets. 2015 - NOMAD resigns when King's concert party takes control. In a remarkable piece of performance art based upon staunch Scottish primary school playgrounds everywhere, King claims that he, in fact, chucked them. Rangers are unable to appoint an alternative NOMAD, and de-list from AIM, King bafflingly says this is down to previous regime not being acceptable to NOMAD(s). Shortly before season tickets go on sale, King says that they will soon be listed on the ISDX exchange - and even lighter-touch alternative to AIM. Season tickets are sold in large numbers. King's pre-sales claims are shown in retrospect to be false. 2016 - Shortly before season tickets go on sale, King claims to have "ended" involvement with RRL & SDI. Season tickets are sold in large numbers. King's pre-sales claims are shown in retrospect to be false. 2017 - Shortly before season tickets go on sale, King is involved in a pre-trial hearing on whether SDI can "join" RRL in suing TRFC, King and Murray. He is slaughtered in the judgement, leaving a slaughtering in the trial itself an absolute shoo-in. He assures fans that Ashley will soon be history. Season tickets are sold in large numbers. King's pre-sales claims are shown in retrospect to be false. (Two months later, he silently pays Ashley £3m, apparently to avoid the trial, and tells fans that they now have a much better deal and the board can recommends going and buying gear from SDI. This is shown in retrospect to be false.) 2018 - Shortly before season tickets go on sale, King proclaims a great new retail deal with Hummel, and says that SDI are now out of the picture. Season tickets are sold in large numbers. King's pre-sales claims are shown in retrospect to be false. 2019 - Shortly before season tickets go on sale, and with a Celtic treble-treble coming down the line, King claims that Rangers are within tangible reach of becoming the dominant force in Scottish football "again". Season tickets are sold in large numbers. King's pre-sales claims are shown in retrospect to be false. 2020 - Shortly before resigning as Chairman, King claims that a significant new investor is on the horizon and there will also be two share issues to bridge the funding gap within the audited accounts. Season tickets are sold in large numbers. King's pre-sales claims are shown in retrospect to be false. There may be a pattern emerging, here.
