Walter's 72 now, let him enjoy his retirement.  The leagues lost, Gerrards euro run against some good teams will be enough to give him some breathing space.

Besides we knew he was a rookie when we brought him in, he was always going to make mistakes.

You’re basically reading a long, drawn out daily record article.

It’ll be an absolute load of shite with a grain of truth hidden in it somewhere.

I'll confess to having downloaded the free sample bit of the book on the Kindle today.

It's exactly as you suggest.  Red top writing at its worst.  Ironically, it seems to have been written by the love child of Traynor and Jackson, resulting in something genuinely reminiscent of 'I Partridge, We Need to Talk About Alan'.

80% will remain unread for me, but I honestly can't tell you what an appalling book this is.

From the BBC...

[\quote]When asked on BBC Scotland's Sportsound, PFA Scotland chief executive Fraser Wishart hoped his members could benefit from the scheme.

"The devil is in the detail," he added.

"If they are talking about employers which clubs are, and employees which players are, and the clubs want to keep them and the players are unable to work, it seems to me they do meet the criteria.[\quote]

I thought that it was companies that were the employers and the players were employees of the company but just played for the club?

This offer made by the Government, is to pay 80% of their wages. I am also sure I heard that it was up to a limit of £2500 .

£2500 x 500,000,000 though......

Or was that just supporters Charles Green was talking about?
