Why only Rangers? Why is this in anyway unusual or contentious?

So you are borrowing money to pay off borrowed money but borrowing more than you owe on an interest free loan... no alarm bells. No worrying what the hell is going on just the usual 'trust dave'

TBH not surprised one bit that they need extra money, I don't think Warren Buffett could've turned them around into a sustainable business in a single year considering the mess of recent losses, bad commercial contracts and power struggles.

If anything, I'm slightly surprised that King managed to get that extra money, especially if it's interest free, and added some new investors in the process. The fact that they needed that extra money, not surprising at all.

Rangers have a cash shortfall and will need extra money to bridge the gap shocker.

We've known that all season.

There was a Celtic fan not so long ago who ran on to the pitch during one of our European games and had some sort of pope protest, his intention to get Rangers fined.

So do you think it was a stand full of green and greys singing the billy boys against Hibs?

Indeed, the board themselves said they would need £2.5M extra funding only a short while ago, none of this is surprising news.

And that was before the legal fees were taken into account.

So, at most, they've got £1.5M left to put towards that £2.5M, leaving another £1M plus legal feels to find, we'd assume.

This may result in a long post....but what legal fees?

They've had to pay their lawyers for the Charles Green and Mike Ashley cases. They may get that money back at some point but timing is likely to be a problem for them.

What are you like, Kinky? Even if King and Rangers win both cases, are awarded costs in both cases and King and Green pay up on the spot, do you not think having a few hundred grand on hold until late-January isn't going to be a problem? For a team that's just borrowed another 6.5M?

Even by your standards aren't the 'are they deid yet' posts wearing thin? The failed social worker has thrown in the towel as he kens the game's a bogey. When will The Big Thread Diddies follow suit?

There's an element of truth in what you say, Kinky. I don't think you can kill the undead - they just keep coming back. :)

I now suspect The Rangers will limp on from soft loan to soft loan for ever. The board seem adept at drumming up the odd million or six when needed. We've heard them (maybe it was the last board or the one before) say that they're depending on the riches to be found in the Premiership to get them back on an even keel but I remain to be persuaded that an extra 3 or 4 million per season in TV and prize money is going to nudge them back into the black. There's the increased season ticket money of course, maybe another 4 million, but is that really going to fuel any kind of realistic European journey that King & co are investing for?

The problem for The Ps&Ds is that the timeline for our demise keeps getting stretched. How many times have we had 'payday watch' on here?

Concomitantly, the problem we Bears face is that credit will eventually run out. Obviously we still overspend. We're 'safe' for this season but where can we get additional income from?

I could add, bigot, lies about his own daughter and now failed blogger to the list, but failed social worker is perfectly valid given a pensioner did die on his watch, a horrible human being, nothing to be proud of.

Unlike your Chairman who stole the life savings of thousands of pensioners in one of his get rich quick schemes

Back then, JSE regulations did not require directors to disclose share dealings. So over the next three years, unbeknown to anyone except Outsourcing’s founder, Ben Nevis sold its 70% stake, reaping a profit of R1.2bn. The funds were immediately "repatriated" to offshore bank accounts.

Asset managers unable to find shares in the open market privately approached King for stock. He always denied being a seller. To his mind, that was true. Ben Nevis, not Mr DC King, was offloading.

Also to his way of thinking, the profit was tax-free. By the time South Africa’s capital gains tax was introduced in October 2001, Ben Nevis had sold out completely. By then, King had resigned from Outsourcing to start a similar business called Legacy Ventures. His original creation ended up worthless.
