East Stirling at 14.5 years seems almost recent by comparison. More than 12 years since we played Motherwell is in 3rd. Montrose are 4th with 11 years. We've played everyone else at least since our 2008 Scottish Cup Final appearance. In fact of the other 37 sides, only Berwick, Clyde, Queen's Park, Inverness and Peterhead are even over 5 years since our last meeting, though Stirling will be over five years in a fortnight and Dunfermline will also make it to 5 years before the end of the season, though it looks likely we'll be seeing them next season.
TheScarf
We've not played Dundee United competitively since 1994. Kilmarnock since 1992. Both in the cup. From memory ICT - LC 2008ish . We beat you in the 12/13 League Cup at Gayfield courtesy of an Andy Shinnie double.

Remember contemplating going up for the game I mentioned but I was only 16 and mum never let me leave school early for the bus. Were you at the Gayfield game? Sure the handful of ICT fans that were there just stayed behind the goal and never done the usual half time swap, sound group of guys from what I remember having a decent laugh with the home support.

HibeeJibee
Aye, I'm sure the topic means 'first class competition' i.e. Scottish League, Scottish Cup, League Cup, Challenge Cup and short-lived tournaments like the Drybrough, Anglo-Scottish/Texaco and Summer cups. In the case of City, I've included (with annotations) their other senior local cups or leagues. Edited May 14, 2016 by HibeeJibee
tamthebam
We've played Celtic and Hamilton in pre-season friendlies in the last decade. Current Scotland internationals James McArthur and Scott Brown have played against Edinburgh City for Hamilton and Hibs in friendlies. We also played Celtic in a pre-season friendly. As Meadowbank were not allowed to play Old Firm or Hibs/Hearts at home due to police concerns this is the only time the Hoops played at Meadowbank (no such concerns back in the 1930s when Celtic played Leith at Marine Gardens though!)
Clayhole Blue
You've listed Stranraer twice in the Edinburgh City list...i would count the Qualifying Cup for us as (Scottish Cup apart) it was the premier tournament for us at the time. Think this was the occasion when we lost to City in the final? Edited May 18, 2016 by Clayhole Blue
HibeeJibee
Forgot to delete 1938-39 league meeting when I found 1946-47 QC South meeting - Final, indeed: Saturday 2nd November 1947 Scottish Qualifying Cup South Final Somerset Park, Ayr Edinburgh City 1-0 Stranraer Attendance: 2,144 As you say, it was the premier competition for non-league clubs and of course C Division clubs had to play in it... Before WWI the Second Division and even some top division clubs had to, as well. Edited May 19, 2016 by HibeeJibee
