LoonsYouthTeam
Pretty shocked to see Cahill go. Especially to the MLS. He's only 32 so he has still got a good few years in him at the EPL level surely. Wonder what prompted the sale of him. Be a big miss to Everton I reckon. Will be a big miss but hasn't been the same player over the last year - 18 months, plus he has had some injury concerns. That being said, I'd rather have kept him. Freeing up more wages to seal a Pienaar deal?
MB
I've just watched the Cahill tribute video on the Everton FC website and it brought a slight tear to my eye. Tim Cahill is an Everton legend, although his powers have been on the wane over the past year or so. Good luck to him in New York.

I agree - but when he was out of the side/off form we kept waiting for him to come back/recover form - now he is away we can't say "When Cahill comes back...". Might rejuvenate the team. Anyway, he's gone!
jamamafegan
Might have lost Cahill but Steven Pienarr is now back at Everton for a sum of £4.5 million. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19069501 It's 1.5 million more than what he was sold for but I am delighted. Highly influential player for the team. Welcome home Peanuts.
Larbert_Par
Pienaar Absolutely delighted Peanuts is back home. I absolutely love the man - he's been brilliant for Everton.

fafc1885
Basically the same as above, except there's sound. Moyes didn't seem too happy the fans went on the pitch in his interview on the site, they did have 'When Hibbo scores, we riot' on the poster advertising the game though.

#Gary
£16m with add-ons taking it up to around £20m for Rodwell to Man City.
Christophe
£16m with add-ons taking it up to around £20m for Rodwell to Man City. Brilliant bit of business from Everton. He's never a £20m player. Edited August 12, 2012 by Christophe
#Gary
I like him as a player but I can't see him getting much of a look in at City, and getting £20m for him is a steal. Who needs Jack Rodwell when you've got Darron Gibson?
cilitbang
Genuine question, what is it that Rodwell does well? I cant really recall much gametime watching him play so I dont even know what type of midfielfer he is apart from usualy central? Media darling springs to mind.

Absolutley no loss at all imo, especially with Ross Barkley emerging.
LoonsYouthTeam
Great deal for Everton. Never understood the hype with Rodwelll. He is good but not a standout.
David W
Mancini today about Rodwell. He said: "Jack is a good player. He is young. It is the first time he is in a club that plays to win and it will be different for him.
