ClydeSI
I met John Sweeney and shook his hand. Don't think I'll wash it, like, ever.
forehead7
Captain Fantastic was in full force tonight, didn't stop running. Bit unlucky with his shot, could've taken it on the volley but it was made for a left footer(the ball moving from the right wing inside)
dunkindonut
When was the last time Sweeney scored? Are his superpowers on the wane? Has someone put a small dod of Kryptonite in his boots? The world needs answers!
Shawfield Stallion
No, he didn't score last night but he's a team player too and as usual he was full of selfless running and gave Motherwell plenty to think about. He did baffle the Well defence several times with some sublime nutmegs and also forced Hollis into a great save with one of his stinging 25 yarders after he set himself up beautifully for the half volley He had a quiet game apart from that, I'd only give him a 9/10 Edited August 25, 2011 by Shawfield Stallion
GypsyTillIDie
Did anyone else enjoy his toying with Hollis when he had a poor kick out and Sweeney went to chip him and thought "best not embarrass the lad" then proceeded to pass it instead? Was in the first 10 minutes if I remember correctly. Marvellous display from Sweeney, if he was playing in the EPL those three nut-megs would be showing all day on Sky Sports New today. Fortunately I was one of the lucky ones to witness it live and in the flesh however, John Sweeney Til I Die

David W
Without being funny, I thought he played well last night. The nutmeg out on the near touchline in particular was brilliant

dunkindonut
Going a bit quiet in here... are the Super hero's powers on the wane? No mention of any cats saved from burning buildings lately or old ladies escorted across the road by The Sweeney...?
mattydfc
He's been busy donating one of his two hearts to kids who are about to die. A hero off the pitch as well as on it. Word also has it, he didn't even go to hospital to do it, just performed the operation on himself.

No mention of any cats saved from burning buildings lately or old ladies escorted across the road by The Sweeney...? Escorting old ladies across the road is hardly a brave and heroic task, though? And the US are so hush-hush about their covert operations these days, it's no surprise John hasn't been in the headlines (as much) recently
Boycey The Gypo
When Sky Sports announced that Spurs might have had a surprise signing last night, I feared the worst that our hero would be off to London.
Monster
The RSPCA want to speak to him regarding some very traumatised otters, so he'll be hiding where nobody will ever notice him. In the Clyde team. -
