Forfar came from behind to beat Albion and lift themselves into the play-off places. The hosts got off to a flying start when Christopher Dallas turned in David Crawford's cross after just seven minutes. Christopher Templeman came close to doubling the advantage just after the half-hour mark but failed to beat Matthew McGinley with a header. The visitors had failed to record a shot on goal before Iain Campbell curled in a stunning free-kick on the stroke of half-time. Templeman fired Forfar ahead with 20 minutes remaining when he poked home a simple finish after Darren Hill failed to hold Danny Denholm's effort. The Binos came close to an equaliser through Marvin Andrews in the final moments but could not find the breakthrough and are rooted to the foot of the table. That's awful. Yep, this. You can see he knows he's made a complete ricket and horror is dawning on him. Not sure what's worse, the incompetence of someone writing a report that suggested three different teams were involved (I could almost have understood mentioning Livi since the game was there but no reason to include Falkirk in any discussion) or actually announcing the wrong winners. Skyline Drifter Posted April 9, 2013 Share Posted April 9, 2013 Not the biggest cock up in the history of the game but Kenny Clark in his opinion piece in the Sun today commenting over two pages on the Muirhead / Higgins Ramsdens Cup Final stramash says (as usual) that the referee was absolutely correct to send Muirhead off for violent conduct (well, duh!) and book Higgins for his provocation. All well and good, except referee Crawford Allan didn't book Higgins for his part in it. He took no action at all on him. Higgins was booked in the match but that was about 100 minutes earlier for a foul just outside his own box. I like Kenny Clark, he's a good guy and his column is usually spot on, but if you are going to go in print and say the match referee got it spot on (no mention incidentally of him awarding a penalty for a challenge two feet outside the box and not asking his assistant about it either) then it would be an idea to make sure what you are giving him credit for doing is what he actually did.
