Well that's absolutely rubbish. No doubt it'll be like this. Every week.

"In Ladbrokes League One runaway leaders Dunfermline continued their dominance with a 3-0 victory against Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill. Michael Moffat netted twice and said afterwards he was "Pleased to score a couple". Ayr managed Ian McCall said he was satisfied with a 1-1 draw with Brechin in a game that saw Paddy Boyle sent off early on. The pressure continues to ramp up on Cowdenbeath gaffer, Colin Nish after a 4-0 home defeat to Dick Campbell's Forfar Athletic. Stranraer and Airdrieonians shared shared goals at Stair Park, with Blues hitman Craig Malcolm scoring 2 in the dying minutes to rescue a point for last seasons promotion hopefuls. Peterhead won 1-0 at home to Stenhousemuir thanks to a Rory McAllister strike."

It's a good effort but there aren't enough references to former Rangers players in there. I'm sure there must be a few from League One that could be shoehorned in. Allan Johnston and Ian McCall for a start but even in playing terms there must be some surely.

It definitely needs pimped out to be more Rangers-centric:

"In Ladbrokes League One runaway leaders Dunfermline continued their dominance with a 3-0 victory against Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill, which is the same scoreline the mighty Glasgow Rangers beat Peterhead with on Sunday. Michael Moffat netted twice and said afterwards he was "Pleased to score a couple", which is incidentally the same number of goals that Kenny Miller bagged for the Gers yesterday. Ayr managed Ian McCall - former midfield dynamo for the Queens' XI - said he was satisfied with a 1-1 draw with Brechin in a game that saw Paddy Boyle sent off early on. The pressure continues to ramp up on Cowdenbeath gaffer, Colin Nish after a 4-0 home defeat to Dick Campbell's Forfar Athletic. Cowdenbeath play in blue - the same colour as Rangers FC. Fellow blue-wearing Stranraer and union-supporting Airdrieonians shared shared goals at Stair Park, with Blues hitman and staunch Protestant Craig Malcolm scoring 2 in the dying minutes to rescue a point for last seasons promotion hopefuls, Peterhead won 1-0 at home to Stenhousemuir thanks to a Rory McAllister strike. He'll be hoping his goal tally earns him a move to Ibrox before the transfer window shuts. Now turn to page 64 for Mark Hateley's hard hitting verdict on the Rangers game."

That is very good to be fair.

Think I'll look for a career elsewhere.

The SPFL's YouTube round-up of the first round of the League Cup.

Not necessarily calling into question any of the actual content, but the title might need a bit of work.

I'm gently seething here.

What is it with these ignorant b*****ds?

It's getting beyond a joke. Are they simply unaware of the existence of Dumfries and Galloway because surely it follows that Dumfries would be in that region? Or is the logic, it's near a border must be in the Borders?

Either way it's fucking infuriating.

An example of the finest shitebaggery from the Evening Times. 'West of Scotland' football fans up to no good after a game against Hibs recently. What team can they possibly mean? It can't have been the Jags.

A report on Paul Hartley on the BBC website early mention that one of his players at Alloa had a 'crucial element' injury. Unsure what element was injured...

I see it's been changed to cruciate ligament now.

Journalists really are a bunch of clueless gobshites, aren't they? And clueless gobshites endlessly obsessed with their own perceived importance, no less.

Now, now, don't tar everyone with the same brush. I know plenty of very sound, intelligent journos. It's just a shame that the 'big names' give the rest a bad reputation.

In the Daily Record today the details of the Sports Department's editorial meeting must have got mixed up with the headline writers as it declared "It's all about the Rangers".

ETA: That could also be their advertising slogan.

Reading the League Two round up in the Record that we spoke about on here last week...and it's all about Barry Ferguson being Scott Linton's hero and the fact he played in the Championship last season - at Ibox...

It also has the line:

The 25 year old joined in the summer from Dumbarton as he looked for a fresh challenge after spending years in Championship relegation dogfights

Last year we were safe with 7 games to go, and the season before that finished 5th, just outside a playoff place at the right end. Hardly 'relegation dogfights'.
