Seen on Twitter this morning Mackay is looking to bring in at least another couple.

Will need to be permanent deals, so be interesting to see who he has in mind that hasn't already been signed up by another club.

Has to be a left back, surely. Left back and another winger.

Edit: there’s no number 5 in the squad, so perhaps a centre back.  I also noticed Grivosti has moved from 12 to 14, so perhaps somebody who traditionally wears 12?

Don't worry, he can sign as many more loan players from England as he likes. The SPFL limit only applies to domestic loans.

We don't play with a left back though, a wingback or a left midfielder might make more sense.  I thought Paton jnr was a left midfielder, also I thought CRC was decent defensively, on the left side against StJ & Hibs.

You have to be able to play more than one formation, and by most accounts, 3 at the back is not Malkkky’s favoured formation.  Right now, were a centre half to be sent off, there’s nobody who can play left back.

Finding a specialised wingback is quite difficult though. A left back would be better suited there than an out of position centre-back (Hjedle last season) or right-sided midfielder (Charles-Cook).

It's a real failure of recruitment that we've struggled to find a good out-and-out left-back since... Jamie Reckord? I can't remember if he was there before or after Oikonomou's second spell.

Foster was mostly fine but always looked more comfortable at right-back.

Reid was decent but obviously had his limitations given his age and experience. And he only got a handful of games.

MalKKKy 😂

Looks like County’s generic statement of a player or coach leaving for family reasons has resulted in immediately being hired by someone else.  Funny that.

Felt quite positive coming away from the ground today. Yes we were second best for long period, but we didnt crumble after losing 2 quick goals in the first half and we kept going.  It could have been a cricket score, but it wasnt and we managed to score twice and created a few other chances. Games like today dont make or break our season.

No, but losing seven goals in two games isn't something we can continue to do. Already our goal difference is taking a battering, as it did last year.

That falls on the management, it's clear we're poor at the back, and it seems no real steps have been taken to improve it.

I too share the view that there were plenty positives to take from the game today. I struggle to remember a team coming to Dingwall and giving us a battering like we got first 30. Rangers’ patterns of play and movement off of the ball was a genuine lesson and there would’ve been few teams that would’ve been able to contain them. This caused us to sit so far inside our own half that whenever the ball got to Big Jordan White up top everyone was 20 yards off of him and the waves of attack started again. However, once we got a bit of luck with our goal, I thought we more than matched Rangers second half and on another day may have taken something from the game. I thought each of the new signings that played today were looking extremely promising - Clarke is quick and reads the game well. Cancola is full of energy and can pick a pass. Whilst Left Back isn’t Ben Paton’s primary position, I thought he generally defended okay and held his own. Hungbo also looks extremely exciting; quick, strong and direct. Ultimately we need to get points on the board, that’s obvious. However today was our first game with a new formation and that will take time to implement a style on the team. I’m certainly in a glass half full mindset, but I don’t think it’s anywhere near as bad as some fans are making out to be and maybe one more winger and one more left back and I think we’ll be looking in good shape.

On the new signings

Paton did OK today for a young lad out of position. Didn’t see enough of Hungbo to give a view

Burroughs can play wing back on either side or anywhere across the middle, so could be an asset, thought he looked lively against Hibs. MM said post match that he’s out for a few weeks.
I heard before the game that Harry Paton who wasn’t even in the squad today took him out in training with a crazy challenge, apparently he has a rep for it.

I though Clarke was excellent and deserved MOM. The other new signing that needs a go now has to be Maynard-Brewer I though Laidlaw was very poor today.

Was surprised at how well we did yesterday, our defence is a disaster though. It says loads that we're (myself included) feeling positive after a game where we've conceded 4 goals.

From the little we seen of Hungbo he looks like he could be a real asset, quick and direct is what we've been missing for years.

Ben Paton seemed okayish and Cancola looked like he could be useful.

We need points soon though if we have any plans on not being in a relegation battle
