invergowrie arab
I might have told this story before on here but myself and the missus were out in the Sidlaws doing some off path compass and navigation practice (f**k off it's fun) The point is to follow a compass bearing across open ground, not to follow paths etc to practice for doing it on snow fields on winter hills. We had to cross all this bog and then go through dense woods and then we stumbled across a clearing about 20m long and 10 m wide. There were about a dozen rocks placed in a horseshoe around a burnt out fire. Because I had the compass I took a bearing on the open end of the horseshoe and it pointed exactly due west which I thought was interesting at time. Like it had been placed there deliberately Then my missus says, what are all these bones? In the fire there were loads of bones including what was unmistakably a pelvis bone and a femur. Compasses have rulers on them so was able to measure the femur at about 35cm At this point we are thinking it must be like a scout camp or something and they have brought up a few pigs or a cows to BBQ but there was no place nearby to pitch tents and it was a few miles from the nearest road. You could get to within half an hour on farm tracks with a land rover probably but it's a long way to drag a whole beast. Any there were dozens of bones but at least 3 pelvises Anyway we thought we better phone police to report just in case something weird was going on as by now the missus had convinced herself it was human bones. So we reported when we got home and local bobby from Birkhill arranged to meet me in a couple of days to go back up and take a look. I was waiting outside police station on the day to go up when I got a call from another officer saying something had come up and that someone would call me to rearrange. I never got a call back so who knows what it was but too many things were just a bit off about it IMO.

Excellent story - very creepy!

The Moonster
I watch a Youtube channel called Jim Can't Swim which does criminology and psychology breakdowns of certain police cases/interrogations (I think the one they done for the Prince Andrew interview was posted on that thread). This one is pretty creepy and strange, not in a "we can't explain this shit" way, it's a slam dunk of a murder case, but the way his character changes once in the interrogation room is fascinating. It actually catches the cops off guard and puts them on the back foot. All of their videos are worth a watch tbh.

This guy was a law student, and was clued up on what cues police and prosecutors look for when assessing the guilt of suspects in interrogation rooms - he deliberately and rationally chose them to give them nothing to work with. It's actually a good strategy - the body language version of 'Don't ever talk to the cops' which is good advice for any suspect, or potential suspect, whether innocent or guilty. I'd hope I'd remember to do the same if I ever found myself in a police interrogation. Edited August 6, 2020 by Aim Here

Yeah, I totally agree, but the c**t doesn't move an inch in about 3 hours, only turns his head and once does he move his hands from the table. That's incredible commitment. For a law student it might have been wise of him to get rid of the USB's with all his videos/pictures of the victim and other incriminating evidence, but he had the right idea during interrogation. At the opposite end of this spectrum, you've got the Dalia Dippolito case, where she tries to deny that she hired a hitman to kill her husband, despite the hitman she tried to hire being an undercover cop and everything being on video. The cops are like "we've got it all on tape" and she just keeps saying "I didn't do anything"

It's definitely her in the Polaroid, in my opinion. Her favourite book happened to be in the picture too? 30 years on, still a mystery. Even with what I would call factual evidence. Anyway my pal found it grimly fascinating as she's younger than me and never heard of this case so maybe some of you folk will too. There's far too much stock put in this. Her "favourite book" was one a best-selling novel in 1982 and was therefore still likely pretty popular with a lot of people. It wasn't really her favourite book so much as it was one of many books that she liked.

He realised that this thing was way, way bigger than normal and he reported it to an organisation that specialise in what the thought it might be. They examined it and confirmed it was not that, and instead they believed it to be some kind of hybrid. It’s now off to Edinburgh Zoo for DNA tests. Not a Bigfoot, but if it’s what they suspect it to be it will be in the news at some point. Only thing I will say is that its remains appeared to have been feasted on by something even bigger and badder. Be a wear if out walking alone. The expert told my acquaintance he should carry a spear, as he does, when out walking in those woods again, as he would be proper fucked if one of this creature’s friends or relatives accosted him when peckish. Not a squirrel either. Will it solve @throbbers decaffeinated fox conundrum?
D.A.F.C
Weird coincidences Back when I was about 11/12 next door neighbour used to play the odd dance music tune on his keyboard. There was one he used to play all the time and I even knew how to play it. Can’t say I’ve ever thought about it since until today when the melody randomly popped into my head at work today. I remembered part of the name of the artist then didn’t really think of it, few minutes ago logged into Facebook and some completely random woman has posted it on a page I’m following. Instantly remember the tune from the name. Suddenly think of a tune thirty years later and then the same day someone else posts it up? It’s obscure as f**k and not even in the charts, can’t say I ever heard any DJ play it back then either. Not exactly stop dead in your tracks scary but wtf? Putin bought the rights and is using secret Russian shortwave transmitters to beam the tune into people's brains and make them buy it.
