Doubt it.

I guarantee YOU could, even. Probably in your lunch break.

Bear in mind nobody will ever need to get a proper look at it. It could actually be that Suburban Sasquatch suit for any of us know.

Do you believe in ghosts because you watched a video of a cupboard opening all by itself or do you accept that perhaps someone has manipulated the video with some smart camera tricks to make it look like ghosts?

You're trying too hard. I prefer to stay old school with my fake ghostly cupboard videos and harness the terrifying power of nature.

Sure, most people will realise it's just the wind, but you only have to say there wasn't any and plenty will consider that proof.

Aye, they went away when I switched to Citalopram; thankfully no side effects from that for me. Probably due to the massive adrenaline rushes that I get from P&B.
Perhaps you're just one of Snorkmaiden's hallucinations.

She'd have stopped taking the pills if she didn't like the side effects..

QED.

Do you believe crop circles are evidence that aliens have visited us or do you realise it's just a bunch of wind up merchants with some big sticks?

Great debate today made a  boring Monday afternoon go in quicker, if it's all the same to you though, I think l'll take the word of the native American and Canadian tribes, rather than that of a Dumbarton supporter.😀 Or any of the other P&B experts.

Thank you.

eta. also worth noting that the mountain gorilla wasn't discovered till 1902.

It was "discovered" (by white europeans) decades earlier.

It wasnt until someone shot one and sent it back to europe that it was officially classified as a different species to the lowland gorilla in 1902.

You're right, its not my specialist subject. But I am a magic bean expert, and I can sell you some magic beans if you would like. Please DM me if interested.

I've been listening to a few of this guys videos on YouTube about unexplained happenings from yesteryear and he also does more well known disasters, tragedies from recent times like Hillsborough and Ian Watkins.

Never heard of the flannan isles mystery before.

Delighted to accidentally stumble onto this thread, at the exact point @Bigmouth Strikes Again starts babbling about how Bigfoots real because some folk who throw spears at the moon say it is.

It's been a consistently good thread.

Good shout on the Flannan Isle mystery. It's a cracking one to read up on. Common sense says that rough seas swept them away but it's got loads to ponder.

The log book entries are weird. Potentially a case of "collective madness"? Also, one crew member seemed a loose cannon.

A cracking mystery.

I phoned the navy once and pulled a moonie at them from the top of a lighthouse.

Not really that interested in these things normally, but 'The Reunion' on Radio4 a while back featured The Enfield Poltergeist story. OYF.
Still available on BBC Sounds.
I read up about that a while back, got debunked as just the children acting up did it not?

Not really a believer in "The supernatural" but the Amityville house story is an eye opener. The "factual" stuff rather than the Hollywood films.

Been reading about Stalin's Russian and obviously some horrific things happened under his rule. I had no idea about the Nazino Affair though. Basically, Stalin signed off on a group of around 2000 people who were petty criminals or political prisoners being moved to a 'specialist settlement'.

The idea was that they'd eventually produce habitable land. They were given some flour and sent on their way.

As you can imagine, chaos ensued. Anyone that tried to escape were hunted 'for sport' by guards and due to the widespread hunger, the people eventually turned to cannibalism. One eyewitness survivor recounted this grim tale:

' On the island there was a guard named Kostia Venikov, a young fellow. He fell in love with a girl who had been sent there and was courting her. He protected her. One day he had to be away for a while, and he told one of his comrades, "Take care of her," but with all the people there the comrade couldn't do much really.... People caught the girl, tied her to a poplar tree, cut off her breasts, her muscles, everything they could eat, everything, everything.... They were hungry, they had to eat. When Kostia came back, she was still alive. He tried to save her, but she had lost too much blood. '
