BFTD
Quite the insight into the Mullarkey marriage we've been receiving lately.

Horrible animals. This post from way back in the thread has a certain horrifying element to it where it's regarded that it's the Stork that's the horrible animal for trying to peck through the cage and not the humans for putting it there.

Certainly an ethical hot potato.

Boys in a coma trying to catch a massive stork, kills it as hes being killed irl then gets reborn as the Maribou Stork. It was him all along, he was the nasty, evil c**t he just couldn't admit it to himself. Perhaps a novel that a few on here should read and have a wee think about. One of my favourite books ever, did my RPR in Higher English on it, many moons ago.

Yep, great example of an unreliable narrator, a theme I absolutely love in film and book.

Duszek
This is wild. Footballer awakes from a coma speaking fluent French. The nurse is French and asks his dad what part of France they’re from. Except of course they’re not French. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52778714

Big Gus
Chatting to a pal about the obviously big news in the Maddie McCann case today and asked her if she'd ever heard of this case which just preceded the "Internet days" which I took an interest in a few years back.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance_of_Tara_Calico?wprov=sfla1Obviously it's a strange and mysterious case and the Polaroid of the girl and the boy that was recovered later is fairly dark and haunting and still completely "unsolved".It's definitely her in the Polaroid, in my opinion. Her favourite book happened to be in the picture too?30 years on, still a mystery. Even with what I would call factual evidence. Anyway my pal found it grimly fascinating as she's younger than me and never heard of this case so maybe some of you folk will too.
Del79
This thing just looks and moves like an insect to me. Still. lockdown does some strange things to your mind. If it was a UFO, the pilot must be drunk. https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/whats-on/glasgow-mysterious-object-sighting-flying-18436281?fbclid=IwAR3fSoGGaYoiKFoGwWXkoeA3D-xtqiZ0YTLE6QJrPXv-KcVu-VVAjwrnRHs Edited June 18, 2020 by Del79
Shandon Par
An acquaintance told me yesterday that when out walking recently he found the remains of a recently departed creature. He realised that this thing was way, way bigger than normal and he reported it to an organisation that specialise in what the thought it might be. They examined it and confirmed it was not that, and instead they believed it to be some kind of hybrid. It’s now off to Edinburgh Zoo for DNA tests. Not a Bigfoot, but if it’s what they suspect it to be it will be in the news at some point. Only thing I will say is that its remains appeared to have been feasted on by something even bigger and badder. Be a wear if out walking alone. The expert told my acquaintance he should carry a spear, as he does, when out walking in those woods again, as he would be proper fucked if one of this creature’s friends or relatives accosted him when peckish. Not a squirrel either. Edited August 6, 2020 by Shandon Par
