Lenny Walker.

I`ve no idea who that is but can`t resist a guess.

It is Lenny Walker. He was a young striker who did well in the reserves and made a few first team sub appearances before moving on to Annan.

Martin Hughes for number 36?

Yes it is. Ex Stranraer.

I am sure Ross Beattie played against Airdire in the challenge cup or he maybe came on as a sub when JC was manager.

I'll check it. He's certainly not on my list. I'll try to check it tonight at home unless anyone gets there before me?

I still can't get over 88 players signed in the space of 4 years, can't imagine it would be great for squad chemistry, but at least you could bin a player if they were crap rather than have them hang around like a bad smell like certain Mr Antell will be doing very soon.

Have we even signed 88 players since they introduced the transfer window?

He didn't actually sign 88 players. Some of them were here when he arrived (Mathieson, Hodge, Aitken, Boyle, Weir, Hawke, Caldwell for a start. Possibly the likes of Robison, Geoff Paterson, Muir, etc who played later also).

Although to counter that there will be one or two he signed who didn't even make the first team (Craig Coates and Stuart Heppell to name but two).

We'll have signed a more than 88 in the 10 years since. Chisholm and McCall both signed a lot of players, Scott, MacPherson, Johnston, Brannigan and to date McIntyre much less.

That could be the next quiz - name evert first team player signed since the introduction of transfer windows. Would you have that info in the same format as this quiz SD?

Yes I have it (though it's at home). I'll go with that over the next few days. What I have since Connolly is a list of all the players each manager signed, rather than the ones they actually played, though it wouldn't be that difficult to convert it. Which would be better? I'm inclined to go with the "signed" one because if we go for players who played for each one a lot of it will be repetitive because player retention has tended to be longer post-Connolly. The likes of Burns and Jim Thomson have played for most of them.

We're not finished this one yet (one to get) but next one Players Iain Scott Signed?

Excellent. This is much more fun than going to palmy at the moment :-)

I know Beattie featured in a 3-0 defeat away to St Johnstone. He came off the bench. I didn't think he was as late as McCall. Could have sworn it was Connolly or Scott who were in charge at the time.

I can only recall Baty coming off the bench at Palmy the once but didn't think he was Connolly era right enough.

Apologies if this has already been posted - the Tell Him He's Pele half-term grades.

Again, there's not a lot to dispute from a Queens perspective.

Makes you wonder why we are keeping faith with a guy who clearly isn't up to the job.

Good read, that'll be Lyle leading the line again tomorrow then. Listening to Mr McIntyre's last couple of interviews he loves Dell. "He battles really well" you know!
