League 1 standard, decent move for him.

Unless that #2 is his squad number  @Against The Machine

Aye, would agree - championship is above his ceiling but should be a decent CB in league 1. Is, in theory, capable of playing at right back and McGlynn used him a lot there in the 19/20 season. Don't expect any overlapping runs.

I really like Dave McKay, but on the sole condition that he's played as a centre half who doesn't have to do intricate passing.

McGlynn's use of him always brought to mind the adage about judging a fish by its ability to climb a tree. He's not a full back. He's certainly not a fucking wing back.

Wheel him out to the edge of the 18 yard box and let him win headers and smash into strikers. He's top half League One standard for doing that, easy. Just don't try and get him to run with the ball or try to deliver crosses.

We tend not to run with the ball, we favour a launching it long approach, so he'll be fine.

Just clocked that, too. Decent bit of business.

The article states 'second signing of the day', it doesn't say 'final signing of the day' emoji102.png

Surely not 3 signing in one day

Welcome home Gavin. 2 year deal, love to see it

Aye, this looks a decent signing - hope we see the same Gav as first time around - think he's struggled a bit since leaving us (injuries a part of that?).
