How do we know that the Tanner Fund hasn’t all ready been offered to the club to strengthen the squad and the club have refused to use it?!!

It was used to offer Broadfoot an enhanced deal in the summer, but he turned it down to go to Inverness.

It’d be good to see it used given our precarious league position but no point wasting it either. January is never an easy time to sign players.

Jack Leighfield- was he good or shite for you?

Edinburgh City have signed him as back up...

He was competent enough as back-up at Championship level and made a fair number of starts too. Not outstanding but not a disaster either. He should be more than capable as back-up in League 2.

Gary Naysmith connection at work there.

Jack Leighfield will do fine if given the chance, presuming he hasn't let himself go in the 7 months he's been clubless. We were quite happy to keep him as a back up but he was looking to go somewhere and try to establish himself as a No 1 which is understandable. Didn't work out for him though.

Listed as a "former player" on their website though never played.  As far as I can tell he was announced as a signing on their twitter feed, was named on the bench a couple of times at most then disappeared.  I think he was sensible to leave Queens as he was at risk of becoming another Jim Atkinson type  permasub, and I'm pleased to hear he's got another gig.
