I’m not a fan of McBurnie but to be fair to him he’s a completely different player to Dykes. He took a fine penalty so played his part. He’s a mile away from being a decent international player but we knew that before tonight.

McBurnie £20 million v Dykes £2 million...... Doubt he will be 10 times the value soon....

ICT away on a Tues at three o’clock. That cannae be right.

If that's true,  with fans largely  being taken out of the equation, or minimum allowed in at least,  they can basically arrange games for whenever they like.  It'll further hit whatever small numbers of fans streaming there would be also. It might suit the clubs to play at that time however.

How is James Maxwell doing lads? Seen he's scored a few goals, assume he's done okay?
Looks a good find. Confident on the ball and a threat going forward. Hard to judge him defensively as we've been been pretty poor at the back though. Hasn't looked dodgy defensively but can't say he's been solid. He lost his marker for a goal at Ayr.

One of Johnston's better recruits.  Like most full backs nowadays he's probably judged more on how good he is getting forward rather than on his defensive ability and he looks good when he does. He's had to fit into a completely new defence so mistakes are maybe to be expected. A bit too early yet to say if he'll be good enough to make the step up with his parent club but at this level he'll do fine.

Cheers lads. Will keep an eye out for him this season. It's a funny one because there wasn't a lot of hype about him but he still trained with the first team and got a friendly appearance or two. He got a little forgotten about by the fans that keep an eye on the youth team.

It was his man for the late St Mirren leveller as well IIRC.

Don't know what to think about these loan deals.  When you unearth a gem its certainly great for the player getting good experience, its great for his parent club getting him first team game time where he can make his mistakes without causing problems for the parent club and for a while its great for the wee club getting a bit of rare quality into the side for a spell.  The problem for us recently has been we find a gem, have a good first half of the season, the gem gets withdrawn by the parent in January and then our season goes down the pan in the second half of the season.  Maybe loans should be for at least a full season?

Maxwell won’t be getting recalled to Rangers, can almost guarantee that. We have two left backs already. Having said that, does he have a season long loan? May only be a loan until January, but if QOTS want to keep him I’d say you’ll be able to.

Hope you're right, Maxwell seems to be one of the better ones we've signed up this season.  Oh, and if you happen to bump into Stevie G in the near future be sure to tell him that young Maxwell is a dud and best left where he is .... 😏
