The Queen of the South thread

It might be more his budget than his eye that has resulted in the mixed bunch of signings.  I reckon if we had a first-hand look at the budget AJ has to work with we'd be shocked.
This current situation at Queens is getting tediously repetitive.  It seems that we've been ploughing the same old furrow for season after season (apart from the return of God, which was a wonderful thing)  - tiny budgets, apathetic fans, pitch controversies, uninspiring Chairmen, over-secretive BoDs, a managerial merry-go-round (to coin a phrase), blah, blah, blah, same old same old.  Oh, for some excitement!

The budget is either 500000 or 3500000

GARY NAYSMITH- LOAN ARRANGER

If Queens are in the market for loan players from Premiership clubs then Hearts may be a no-go,  Gary Naysmith is now employed there as the club's "Loans Manager"  with responsibility for arranging for their younger players to get fixed up with suitable loan deals.

Let’s get the lad Keena on loan then. Decent forward.

Will Naysmith deal with QoS though considering how he left,  that's the point.
Given the way he was treated I wouldn't hold it against him if he didn't do us any favours. But one thing he always was was professional and if he thought the best place for one of players was with us then I've no doubt he would do what's best for the player.

Hearts will expect him to do what is best for the club and their players. Time will tell if any come to us. I'd expect him to behave in a professional manner given how he he was with us and how he comes across.

The one thing for a loan player now is that coming to Queens he should get plenty of game time with the squad being small and that is key to bigger clubs loaning players out.

If a player comes in and can’t manage to earn starts then it’s down to the player certainly not the club.

The simple answer to the problems associated with gulls is to deprive them of food. The statement put out by the club is spot on. Don't drop food and deposit waste in bins. Dumfries has had a particular problem with them for years and while relaxing legislation to enable local authorities to remove nests etc it is, in the main, something that we can all help with by depriving the birds of food. The mess that they leave in and around Palmerston by fouling seats etc is hardly something to attract people to our ground.
