Why can some people take a positive out of yesterday result . No dobbie down 3-1 pulled it back to 3-3 and in a league match that would be a good away point . Last season we would not have pulled it back with mr negative in charge so I think the future is a little brighter one thing for sure the games have been entertaining this season .

It was a Cup game we had to win we didn't so we are out nothing like a league game .

The squad we have just now will not keep us up made worse with the  loss of Dobbie we MUST somehow find the money this week to let AJ get the players in that he wants if not then we will be off to a poor start something that will be difficult to recover from look at Falkirk last season poor start never recovered from it

Might be coincidence, but after Anderson left in February, we won 2 games and picked up 8 points, and none of them when Naysmith was operating on his own. It is difficult to know whether one had an effect on the other, but the season went down the toilet from around the time that Anderson left.

For first 20 minutes y’day we played some great one and two touch football with our midfield totally dominant. Morton then had a good spell but not one that justified us losing three very cheap goals. Kilday’s penalty concession was madness. We then finished the game positively and certainly deserved the draw.

The back 4 looks decent enough on paper but it is worrying how easy it seems for teams to create chances against us.

Overall though, the match was entertaining and some of our passing and link up play was excellent. I thought Kidd, Paton and Murray were our top players on the day.

Clearly we need reinforcements but minus Dobbie that performance exceeded expectations.

Hopefully 4 more like AJ said. With dobbie out that is a must for me. That bench yesterday was worrying.

Last seasons draw at Morton lead to a 4th/5th place league position going into the New Year.
A January tampering of the squad and a bit of moaning up to that point that the squad was on the light side put pay to what was a small but competitive squad.
At present we don’t even have a small squad. 2 or 3 more and this seasons small squad will be complete.

Erm sort of but also what we wanna see Saturday

I just think as a more attacking wing back then Mercer gets it.

I like a back three as it gives us 3 6ft plus defenders and another 6 footer with Holt.

Although if we every get a keeper who commands his six yard box that would be the biggest bonus of all ......

Hopefully there is more to come from McCrorie been disappointed with him so far he just seems to be easily beaten wonder how many shots he has actually saved and his kicking is not the best hopefully with more games he will get better but as of now he is no better than Martin .

3 defenders were here last season and we shipped goals from crosses yet already the new goalkeeper is the problem emoji38.png

Having a keeper who does not command his 6 yard box doesn’t help.

Having said that, let’s blame the 3 defenders that were hear last season.

Maybe it is the defenders that can’t defend. Maybe it’s the keepers that can’t come and take a cross.
