Hopefully we'll re-sign Doyle and Stirling and get a good experienced goalkeeper on board. Looks like Durnan is Falkirk bound as they splash the cash to get out of Div 1 at first time of asking.

Believe it’s not down to cash, more down to Falkirk being a much bigger club. Don’t blame him.

Whatever you need to say to help get you through at the moment, you just say it Brother.

We're all here to support you at this truly dreadful time for you.

Your need is greater than ours. Just don’t break him though.

Easy to get players in  on trial but if any are good enough why have none of them signed yet .

Probably because like any other occupation when you're out of work you try and get the best deal for yourself.  If they are any good there are probably other teams interested ad well.

Players that are any good don't go on trial good players have options usually picking the best deal which is usually not at Queens  it makes it very difficult to sign players for Queens as A J is finding out

How do you know he's finding it difficult?

In my opinion, AJ is doing the right thing by having a look at players before signing them. Maybe wants to see how they fit in with the squad, and if they're going to suit whatever style of play he has in mind. It's harder to sign players these days, most players wait and see what offers they have or don't have first.

GN found out the hard way by signing players who never worked out for us.

Doyle is just back from holiday and I'm led to believe that he is going to re-sign.

Chill out and wait and see what this week brings.

You can’t invest big wages on Dobbie and Holt then think like other championship clubs you can claim that you are full time by paying low wages to the remainder of squad and young players

Would think Gary Oliver will be on a decent wage.

The debate on who pays Dobbie's wages has never been 100% answered.  How much is Holt on as you seem to know? Taking Dobbie out if the equation I doubt if there is a big gulf in wages between the rest of the squad. It makes it difficult for a Manager to sign players if they know there is a vast difference in what they will get compared to some teammates.  If we don't work within a set wage structure it obviously causes problems.  The lure is probably offering longer contracts to the better players.  Younger, inexperienced players may be on less money of course but they are probably aware that they will be fringe players.

Dobbie is paid by a mystery benefactor .

He is as lovely a man, as you could wish to meet .

I heard he paid half of it.

Anyway, an outstanding gesture, however, much it is

Michael Doyle was on trial with us last season. Suppose he’s not very good then.
