Don’t know much about Doyle as a footballer, but his actions in Magaluf suggest he is exactly the type of character you’d want in the trenches with you, and by extension on the pitch and in the dressing room. Wish him well during his time at Palmerston .

It was a #FantasticFriday.
And also a #F'ingBusyThursday&Friday
Still work to be done on international clearance for Semple tomorrow too. He will be touch and go to be involved.

The world has gone mad - international clearance for a young CB going out on loan to a small Scottish Champ side from a team in the UK?? What exactly are they clearing??

Nothing surprising about it.

In football terms, Scotland and England are totally separate countries.

This. No idea why rjc is getting upset about it. Nor why the player's age or loan status would change anything, other than the fact the process is somewhat more complicated when it is a loan not a free agent. Hence why Watson is already cleared and Semple isnt.

If anyone would be happy with a merged UK national team they could let the SFA know. Until then we will continue to need international clearance to switch football associations.

I see the police have tweeted saying they will be at the game today. Surely it’s an ideal game for no policing?

You can’ be too careful when our friends from the lawless, Wild West of the region are in town. ;)

I would expect he has previous with these clowns .I have over the years had to deal with many of them from the very top, to most of the hingers on .The waste of money and shambles is staggering .From Farry,Topping,Fleeting ,Agnew, and countless others, self intrest knows no bounds. I once asked Farry about the think tank .I would have been better asking about a fish tank.

Most of them are the reason Scottish  football is ,where it is .

This is just ridiculous, new signings, photos of signings, social media posts all over the place, superb new raffles, what are we supposed to moan about now?
The pitch.

You will always get 100% effort from Doyle. He will never hide in a match when things don't go to plan.

As good as you will get at this level defensively. Not so great going forward and putting decent balls into the opposition box.

He's a good lad also and will be good about the dressing room

At last,  signing a defender whose strength is actually defending.  To much emphasis placed on what full backs can do going forward,  good if they can obviously but solid defending has to be priority.

This. It will be interesting to see whether Doyle will end up playing more often in the centre or at right back.
