Not living locally for a number of years but I am totally lost at what’s going on concerning the BOD etc why is the club a laughing stock? what has the chairman done for a call for him to step aside?

The whole Jim Thompson soap opera would be one of the reasons.

On looking at Naysmith's managerial performances with East Fife and Queens, here are the up-to-date stats:

East Fife November 2013 to 6 December 2016

130 games in-charge, 50 games Won, 27 games Draws, 53 games Lost. Win Percentage; just under 39%

Queen of the South 6 December 2016 to Present

65 games in-charge, 22 games Won, 20 games Draws, 23 games Lost. Win Percentage; just under 34%

You've got to consider the fact that the Championship is a harder league than the one East Fife play in?

Yes, but Queens are therefore meant to be a better side.

By that logic, Cowdenbeath would be bound to have a better win percentage than Aberdeen.

Of the 22 wins, 10 have been against teams who were either lower league or on their way there (6 League 1, 4 League 2). And all but one of them part-time.

Of the remainder, 3 have been against Dumbarton, who are part-time.

That leaves 9 and 3 of those were v St.Mirren and Falkirk when they were terrible. The other 6 were 2 v Morton, 2 v Dundee U, 1 v Livi and 1 v Dunfermline.

I think the breakdown of wins is this

Premiership level (including St.Mirren this season and Hibs last) 8 games 0 wins. Win percentage 0%. (incidentally 1 draw, 7 defeats, although the draw was also a defeat on penalties).

Championship level 41 games 12 wins. Win percentage 29%.

League 1 and lower (including Ayr and Raith from last season and Brechin this season) played 15 Won 10. Win percentage 67%.

Not sure where to categorise TNS and not included. It was a defeat anyway.

Are these awful crowds going to force the BOD’s hand?

That is surely now a very real possibility.  I like Naysmith, but our home form is nothing short of dreadful.  When the fans start voting with their feet it usually results in one outcome.

Again you have to feel a bit of sympathy for the manager as a lot of the reasons people aren't attending are out of his control.

There must indeed be real concern about where our gates are now heading.  There's a real sense that the stature of the club that's been in place for around fifteen years is now shrinking quickly.

It's something that needs arresting, but the difficulty is that there will, as you say, be loads of reasons behind this slide.  Many of them will beyond anyone's control, so getting rid of the manager in no way represents a solution here.

I'm absolutely no fan of Naysmith and would happily see him leave.  From the board's viewpoint though, I still would imagine that the risk, upheaval and expense of sacking a contracted manager, can't yet be outweighed by concern over decreasing crowds, when the manager's role in that decline is not clear.

If the manager goes though are we going to jump back up to 1400 fans attending. Maybe. Maybe not. There is no right or wrong answer but change in some way or another is necessary I feel. It' sad what's happening at the club on and off the pitch. 6th seems almost decent now.

I hadn't realised this, puts things into perspective a bit I suppose. I think we will pick up more points before the end of the season.

Should we go down the part-time route next season (which looks a certainty) i hope the BOD aren't budgeting on crowds of anything over 1000 because at £17 a game - the already pissed off Dumfriesshire public certainly aren't going to turn up in decent numbers!

Nothing has changed over the years and the apathy among our supporters just keeps growing!
