No longer do they simply tell / text each other where the dogs are to steal, they have a convoluted process tha includes the masterful tactic of tying cable ties to lamp-posts. Be. A. Wear. BTW, does anyone actually know anyone whose dog has been stolen, by gypsies or indeed anyone? Facebook is absolutely littered with people reporting lost dogs and I can't think of even one occasion that hasn't ended up with it being found in some park or shitting in someone's garden. There were three stolen in the same day in Dunkeld area, although they were opportunist thefts I believe. No evidence of chalk marks or cable ties was found. Of course the fact that an actual dog theft happened had full time Facebook mummies everywhere completely losing their shit. The best one on my local page was some attention-seeking bint posting about a "white pick up truck" coming into "her" street and going out again, which had all these dafties refusing to let their dogs out in gardens etc. It turned out to be her neighbour of 20 years. Even when the guy's daughter explained this, she was met with a wall of "YOU CANT BE 2 CAREFUL". Fucking morons.
Gaz FFC
A lot of people see suspicious looking folk and suspicious looking vehicles doing suspicious stuff but as luck would have it these same folk never catch a photo of the activity. Definitely no made up though
Sherrif John Bunnell
The same folk that love posting WWII memes about how everyone is soft these days also appear to live in total fear of chalk markings and zip ties.

I don't think these people have ever met cats before. Wait until they see the cats carrying boxes of chalk

Will try and bump it until the new year now. My wife got in a bit of a panic yesterday. I get home and she's all questions. Did you come home from work? Did you send someone round with something? I heard folk in the garden were you expecting someone? Did you leave that there? Turns out the great mystery was solved when she seen a text from Hermes saying we've left your parcel next to the shed. Maybe all women assume that most of the world is filled with terrorists who are upto no good.

The bread attracts sparrows, then all they have to do is look for a garden with birds in it so they can steal your dog.

Rizzo
I seem to get tagged in these dog theft posts by someone on my friends list about once a month. If anyone ever did steal my dog, I imagine it wouldn't take long for them to phone up offering some serious cash to take him back.
