Young people are growing up with this as an integral part of socialising though. It's easy for older folk just to say switch it off. Bit more difficult I suspect when you might get ostracised at school for being the only one not to have it. I'm in my 30s and have never used facebook or twitter. Even folk my age find it odd I dont use it and might not know the tawdry wee bits of gossip going about.
