FifeArab
Reports that creator David Chase is involved in a Soprano prequel movie set in 1967. Current working title is "The Many Saints of Newark" and is centred around the Newark riots. The report I read said that they’ve planned for some Sopranos characters to appear In It, possibly Tony’s dad ‘Johnny Boy’.

LondonHMFC
Started watching this the other week on Sky Atlantic, they are showing two episodes every Thursday evening at 9pm. It is a programme I have put off watching for years, probably because I knew it would take up so much of my time. Just up to episode 6 now, and it is utterly fantastic. Even the Mrs has enjoyed it. She struggles to understand why I like Tony so much, and to an extent so do I, I guess it's just because he is "human". Favourite episode so far was the fourth, when the son finds out what his Dad is, that scene at the end, with both of them looking at each other with this playing in the background. Sensational stuff.
ICTChris
I’m actually jealous of you being able to watch it as a box set.
Boostin' Kev
FFS I wish I hadn't seen it before. That and The Wire are a mile ahead of every other series.
Newbornbairn
Nothing else on tv has ever given me the visceral shock of the Sopranos ending. I was stunned into silence for a few minutes and felt empty inside for days. I can't stand "Don't stop believing" now.
YER SISTERS YER MAW
James Gandofini's son Michael is the spitting image of his dad. Looking forward to seeing him potrait Tony in The Sopranos prequel.https://trib.al/dDQRRXl
Ludo*1
His son is an ugly wee b*****d. Not that Gandolfini was exactly a looked, but fucking hell. Who's playing Uncle Jun?
Derry Alli
Was reading today that Pine Barrens wasn't meant to be shot in the snow. They had a massive blizzard and just decided to go ahead with filming. Thank Christ it snowed, I don't think it would have been as well remembered if that wasn't the setting.

It's an hour of utter perfection, even by the high standards of The Sopranos.

Genuine Hibs Fan
Started rewatching this with the gf this week. Absolutely peerless tv. Struggling to remember a bad episode from earlier watched but of the ones we've seen so far College is the first of the classic episodes

Horrendous television and massively takes away from what is the greatest television show of all time. Come at me Game of Thrones, The Wire & Breaking Bad fans. p***ks.

Forgot all about the coma episodes. The Wire and Breaking Bad there's arguments but anyone who thinks GoT is anywhere near the discussion for very best isn't worth talking too.
